I’m preparing for the launch of my new store and want to ensure I have my marketing tools set up before going live. I've been testing different email marketing apps, and my experience with Yotpo has been quite challenging: Complex Setup: I was required to add four DNS host codes to my domain before even starting to use the service. Mandatory Address in Footer: I was informed that it is mandatory to include an address in the email footer, which is inconvenient for a home-based business. Test Email Issue: I was unable to send myself a test email to verify the email automation, and received a message to "contact support or try again." Initially, I received responses to my first 2-3 questions. However, when I faced the issue of sending a test email, I tried to reach their live agents. The system showed that I was third in line, but when it was my turn, I received a message that agents were unavailable. After that, whenever I tried to contact them again, I was immediately informed that their agents were unavailable, without being placed in a queue. It’s frustrating to spend so many hours just to get set up, only to face these obstacles and lack of support on the very first day. Imagine testing it; it’s your first day, and they already blacklist you after making you spend so many hours just to get it set up! Edit: I tried contacting their live agents from another email and it worked, confirming that they did blacklist me already, for having questions! Wow- moving on to a different marketing tool, their loss!

I have only had this app a week but I am loving it so far! It takes some time to get everything set up right but easy to do. I ran into a problem verifying the sender email and I could not figure out why it wasn't sending me the email so I could verify it. I contacted customer support through chat and Marnie helped me right away! Took less than 3 minutes to get my problem fixed! That was great! I highly recommend this app!

Setting up Yotpo has been a breeze thanks to my helpful support rep, PL. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of use out of the app. There are tons of templates and workflows already built out for you at each stage of the customer journey, so it is going to save a lot of time and brain power. I still have to gain customers to see it in action, but so far, so good!

John D and his team assisted me in setting up a pop-up on my store which offers a percentage discount to new and existing customers who sign up for email and SMS. I do think the App can increase customer visits and can increase customer sales but I have no experience with the app. I would like to get a more proactive approach from the team to advise me or recommend the best actions I need to take on the free plan or the most cost-effective options available to improve the operation of my website.

This app is poor! They fail to provide valid IPv4 addresses needed for domain validation to send emails. Additionally, their chat support is merely an unhelpful bot that repeatedly says it doesn't understand the question.
