Found this to be far better than Mailchimp and they seem to be always improving the features and have so many options to customize your email design. I love how easy it is to set-up A/B tests, the integrations, the analytics, and the new AI tools as well, not to mention incredible customer service if you ever have an issue (or in my case, accidentally permanently delete something).

Aside from the fact that it is kinda expensive from what it offers, most of the services offered like help desk, reviews and email are all mediocre and mostly only offer basic features. It is also unneccessarily complex to setup at first. Once you do the initial setup, it is mostly fine to use but I would not rely on it for anything other than email maketing.

trying to set up 10% discount pop up for my shopify website has been a bit tricky. thought it was finished when a pop up says "Klaviyo onsite tracking must be enabled on your website to display your form." support says it needs to be done from the shopify website, shopify support says it needs to be done in klaviyo. I followed explicit instructions from Klaviyo support to resolve a configuration issue. That guidance resulted in service interruption and an accelerated billing cycle. Despite clear communication records, this is now being treated as a “customer-initiated change.” This is extremely disappointing and uncomfortable as a paying customer. I hope Klaviyo will review support-led actions more responsibly.

Klaviyo is hands-down one of the most powerful email and SMS platforms out there for ecommerce. The depth of their analytics is where they really shine. From revenue attribution to flow-level performance and segmentation insights, Klaviyo gives you the kind of data that actually helps you make smarter decisions and squeeze more sales out of every campaign. The segmentation and automation capabilities are excellent, and once you know your way around the platform, it becomes a serious growth engine. If you care about understanding customer behavior and optimizing lifecycle marketing, Klaviyo is hard to beat. That said, pricing is the biggest downside. Being charged for all profiles in your account—even ones you never email—can feel frustrating, especially for growing brands with large lists. It would be much more fair (and sustainable) if pricing were based only on the profiles you actively send emails to. Overall, Klaviyo is an elite tool with best-in-class data and performance. If they adjusted their pricing model to better reflect actual usage, it would be close to perfect.

I'm in love with Klayvio. As a small business, it has been so important for us to be able to target high performance customers and Klayvio makes it so easy to do so and track behaviors. I highly recommend to anyone who is trying to grow sales through email marketing strategies. I have learned so much from the videos re: BFCM, segmenting, etc., there are endless ways to grow sales if you are able to harness the tools Klayvio offers. We came from Mailchimp but find this platform is much more powerful and supportive.

Pretty disappointed with the app. It's outdated, clunky, and has one of the worst UI and UX I've ever seen, as well as overly complicated even for simple tasks. The app needs a COMPLETE overhaul. There's nothing to save or improve in the interface. the UI/UX needs a complete redoing. . And I say this as a professional in marketing for over 20 years who is not just a beginner, and who's not easily discouraged by complex interfaces. This is not complex, it's simply broken for the most part. Feels like I'm using an app developed in 1996 when Microsoft Windows was barely taking a foothold. . Yes, the app is fairly strong, it excels in segmentation, flow triggers, and flow charts - it does the extra 5% mile that other apps don't do, although other apps are pretty much there anyway. So, is that 5% overly complicated extra mile really necessary? Yes, if you're a corporate brand selling in 100+ countries, having 1000+ customer segments, and you don't mind overcomlpicating your life with counterintuitive clicks, day in day out. But other than that, the app is simply not effective for 90% of the jobs you have to do. . - The email editor is almost impossible to use, and it's impossible to create consistent email designs (and no, this is not just a matter of different email clients rendering the email in different ways). - Simple tasks that should take a few clicks end up taking hours and hours of configurations and checks and rechecks: it just makes you go mad after a while. - Having the highest price on the market (in this email marketign field) for being self-proclaimed as "the best" in the niche... is simply not justified. . Considering that, as a business owner, you will probably spend 80% of your time in the marketing app, you may want to avoid apps that make you pull your hair out. By all means, please go ahead and try it, before you decide on a different solution, just so you take an informed decision. This is not a decision you have to take lightly. . Oh, by the way, if you have a database of subscribers in Shopify, none will be marked as subscribed in Klaviyo. You have to literally rebuild your entire database of customers, and ask them again to consent to your marketing (most of which will never do on a second time despite placing an order with you previously and accepting to be subscribed in that moment when they actually desired the product from you, when their subscribtion intent was highest). This is mad. Klaviyo's explanation: it's just the privacy / consent / GDPR policy, and we don't want to assume responsibility for anything because God forbids, you may be faking the consent in Shopify, so we don't trust the Shopify consent, we need a separate consent just for Klaviyo. . Also, the customer service is pretty much non-existent, other than emails over 24 hours where the customer service simply points you to some basic help articles in their knowledge base. And, God fobids you need actual help with anything: for the most part they'll say it's not their job and that you need to hire a professional instead. . I say this with a heavy heart because I had high hopes from this app, and I didn't want to leave this review knowing that there are some real people behind working on it, but things had to be said. Whoever is in charge of leading the direction, it's leading it in the wrong direction, and dragging the entire team with them.

Disappointed in my experience with Klaviyo so far. The templates are quite poorly designed. Even the most basic templates, like for order confirmations, contain a lot of errors. I have been in constant contact with support trying to get them to include basic information that should be included automatically. For example, dynamic products were not being pulled in at all, so customers were not able to see what they purchased. This was simply an error with their template. Once we had that resolved, there was still a lot of missing information (like product variant flavors, apartment address lines, etc.) Little things that you may not notice while building, until customers complain. It took 3 support cases to get an order confirmation that simply has the correct products listed and the customers full shipping address... You cannot trust your onboarding specialist to check your emails or flows either. I had mine check our order confirmation flow multiple times before going live. She assured me we were all set and we set the flows to LIVE, and it simply did not work! She missed a key trigger that was keeping the emails from sending. We did not discover this until customers complained about missing confirmations. Again, so disappointed in the quality of the templates and the support i've been provided. While Klaviyo has all the latest and greatest features, some of the most simple and important things are severely lacking! I've used free email builders that have better designed templates.

We are unsatisfied by the set up and ease of use of the Kaviyo SMS app. We have been locked out of our account and cannot access the app or are unaware of our status and customer service has not responded to requests to unlock account. Rating Poor, unresponsive, challenging to use.

I’m really unhappy with this app so far. Expecting users to pay for basic human assistance is unacceptable and leaves a very poor impression.
