I contacted the customer service team because I kept getting error messages inside of my account and I let them know that I canceled the subscription back in 2023, and had actively not been using the subscription since 2024 which was verifiable and their campaigns. They REFUSED to give me my money back and mentioned in an email “ although you canceled your subscription, there is a back end that doesn’t allow you to fully cancel it without our approval”. Basically agreeing that I canceled my subscription but HAVE been charged for the last two years without any usage of the app but even if you have and showed proof of cancellation, “they have the last say”. Definitely do NOT recommend them

Very sketchy pricing. My $500 plan jumped to $950. We are chargebacking as they refused to work with us even though it was their systems issue.

klaviyo get really expensie ! you always need to reupdate your pricing. it ll be ok if the customer service is reactive but the customer service is just an AI that is not even set properly !

customer service is really really really bad .... talking to a bot that is not even set properly, again these companies rely on AI but are not able to assist their customer who pay few hundreds per months ! Also they increased their price alot ! before it was based on email sent now on the size of the number of customer. i mean if i pay that much i expect at least a quality service. really really bad guys, you have bad customer service

False pricing plan. If you open pricing plan from the app page, then you will see that you can buy 20$ plan with 5000 emails. However, after installation I've tried to update plan, and the cheapest version is for 140$ only!

Overpriced and useless if you're running a multi-lingual store. While they offer email translations, which are fine those are useless as one cannot translate the newsletter popup banner at all. After multiple attempts to talk to customer service, they said it's not possible.

It is both abnormal and frustrating that we cannot define what constitutes an Active Profile ourselves, nor do we have the necessary tools to effectively manage and clean our profile database. Specifically: • A large number of fake profiles created by bots are being automatically marked as Active. • There is no efficient way to bulk filter or delete these profiles directly from the profile list. • We are unable to set up flows or automations to remove these fake profiles. • And most critically, Klaviyo charges based on the number of profiles — which means we are at constant risk of being overcharged by 20–30% or more if we don’t manually clean up these fake accounts every single day. This situation is clearly unfair and unsustainable. We urge you to provide a solution that either allows us to: 1. Define and control what is considered an Active Profile; 2. Easily identify and bulk-delete fake profiles; or 3. Exclude clearly inactive or bot-created profiles from billing calculations. We hope Klaviyo will take this issue seriously and prioritize a fix, as this has a direct impact on customer trust and billing fairness.

Beware of their predatory billing system. If you accidentally exceed your usage, they automatically upgrade you to a higher package for the entire next month without any warning, notification, or reminder. You have to manually downgrade it yourself or you're stuck with the extra charge. Even worse, I exceeded my usage on May 2nd and immediately reset it, but they still charged me for overage on May 3rd, applying it to the next billing cycle. This is not just careless—it’s outright deceptive. What was worse: I contacted to the support and asked for a refund of the $25. They refused. I seldom write a negative review of any business. Klayvio is just absurd. I just hope that any small business owner can find a good alternative. If you do, feel free to share it. I am going to share this post on Reddit as well.

Once you are signed up, the customer support disappears completely. I got a new device, cannot login via MFA, and their solution is for me to contact support, which requires MFA authorization. This app is not user friendly and the support is awful.

They Steal Your Money - They Change their Pricing Policy to Gouge their Customers by going from emails sent to active profiles, raising prices by 2x to 10x - Despite committing to a plan, they will upgrade you without your consent and charge you

The app imports all users indiscriminately, including those from imported Amazon and eBay orders, and so on. As a result, the number of profiles increases several times over, and the cost of using the app rises accordingly. These profiles are useless because they do not even have real contact information. It turns out to be a waste of money. Support is useless, and the online chat is unavailable unless you pay. The average response time by email feels like a year and a half. I used another app that costs twice as little, and there was no such problem — everything worked out of the box.

By far the worst app I have used so far. I am not sure how anyone can give this more than one star. Too expensive for what you get. Horrible menue/navigation. The setup is overcomplicated for no reason. Even after 2 Klavio experts looked into it, several things are causing problems and are not working properly. Can't just pause my plan to fix the issues. The platform is loading very slowly and getting stuck regularly. It cost us lots of money and we had lots of upset customers. I had this professionally set up for our business. We had several issues with the system not doing what it was supposed to do. The first company looked into it and was able to fix some of the issues. We hired a second Klavio expert who was able to fix a few more, but we were still finding issues where customers get discount emails, follow-up emails, even though they had already completed their purchase. We tried to pause the plan to fix this - not possible. We had to delete most of our accounts, which was a nightmare to do with their inefficient system. That should have put us on a free plan until we would have been able to fix the problems, but no, you have to cancel your plan first. While choosing to cancel our plan only not our account, going through the steps, it deleted our whole account. $6000 in expert costs of setting up this useless platform - gone! We used this nightmare for 2 years.

the absolute WORST app I have EVER used for ANYTHING. One problem after another, you "fix" something and another issue comes up. Customer service does everything but provide the way to fix it. They all genuinely have no idea what they're doing. Do yourself a favor and look for a different app like Mailchimp or something cause this is the biggest piece of shit app I have ever used.

We initially used the app but removed it after it started sending review emails for past orders without our consent. This time, the reviews widget was unreliable; it would randomly appear or disappear. In fact, nine out of ten times, it was completely missing, even though it was properly installed and customized. When I reached out to support, they asked for a screenshot or video of the problem. How can I take a screenshot of something that isn’t visible? I ended up providing them with a link to our website, which I found surprising they couldn't locate on their own. Ultimately, we chose to go with a different app that better meets our needs.

I actually find it absurd that in order to get email or chat support I have to upgrade my plan?? "Your access to email support and live chat has expired. Check out plans for pricing and upgrade options."

Terrible customer service and it is not worthy for your money! Also, they do not return your money if you pay and decide to cancel the plan (we cancelled at the same day as we were charged and they have told us that are not refunding! !!)

Dishonest company! They send emails claiming you can adjust your plan (which they auto-upgrade), but it’s a lie. I will open a chargeback with my bank! Do not use their services for emails. They make everything complicated just to take your money.
