We migrated from Bold Subscriptions (v1), because we needed to migrate anyway, and we used this as an opportunity to see how the other big subscription players worked. Recharge has some very nice features for both gifting as well as managing the subscriptions. The UI is intuitive and thoughtful. Hoa - our implementation engineer - was super organized and thorough to get our data migrated into their app, and get us through our first subscription renewal cycle.

PROS: - Customer service is always very responsive and helpful. (Shoutout to Zachary!) - Custom bundles and periodic subscriptions have substantially improved store metrics across the board. - Analytics dashboard is easy to navigate and read at a glance. - Good range of integration options with other softwares/apps/services. CONS: - Limited out-of-the-box customization for bundle interfaces. Colors and text can be changed, but changing the layout of the bundle UX interface itself requires coding experience or developer assistance. - Tiered discounts on bundles (add more, save more) cannot stack with other product discounts regardless of settings, due to how Shopify prioritizes discounts.

It keeps evolving and the support is very good. Big shout out to Ola. Often I find with other support apps they have a Quick Look and then you get dropped if it’s too much effort. Ola kept at it and genuinely helped.

They reached out to upsell me on an additional service (Rewards), and said that they would help me set it up before launching. I agreed, but didn't realize the contract I signed said I would start paying right away. I found out 8 months later that I'd been paying $200/month for something I'd never used. My fault for not reading the contract and just believing the sales pitch. When I reached out to explain, they told me I should feel lucky that I don't have to pay more because I'm on a legacy plan.

Recharge app meets our requirements in terms of the subscription model. We had a smooth implementation with the Recharge team, and all our technical concerns were addressed with the help of Vinse Ridenour, our dedicated Implementation Engineer, and Braxen McConnell, our Account Executive. Recharge is highly recommended as one of the Ecom tech stacks, especially since it’s fully integrated with other third-party Shopify apps like Gorgias and Klaviyo.

I was fed up today trying to learn how to manage our new Shopify store to teach our customers how to manage it. After hours on chats with other APPs I finally made it to Recharge to help with subscriptions. Irving O was so helpful and quick to help. I was frustrated and did not know how to change a setting and he did it for me and fixed my problems in less than 10 minutes. Thank you for the wonderful customer experience.
