I want to complain about the ReConvert plugin! The product page only states that pricing is based on order quantity, but doesn't mention that it's also based on the product value. My store is just starting out, and I happened to receive a $500 order, but ReConvert charged me a monthly fee of $79! This is directly causing me to lose money! Honestly, I don't recommend this plugin for startup sellers with high average order values. Although customer service gave me a $40 discount, a $40 monthly fee is still very high! This plugin isn't for me.

UPDATE: No refund has been given. No credit has been given. The “reaching out of goodwill” was them finding my business socials and leaving a message on Instagram saying “Hi, is someone there?” The instagram page @reconvert.io has since been blocked. Communication via email is preferred. Great professional response down below to save face, however it is not true. The circumstances are 100% the same. I have asked via email to just be left alone at this point. However, there’s been back and forth and now visits to my socials from this company. I have been overcharged for this app even after uninstalling and canceling services. I reached out to Shopify for assistance and was told to contact the app directly to have charges removed. I have paid for the app once and was refilled again because now I had canceled the app 2 days after the charge was applied. Speaking to Ashley, I received no help other than to reinstall the app to receive a credit for the charge. However, I do not need the app so why would i reinstall just to be overcharged more for a service I clearly no longer needed. They will give you the run around if there is ever an issue with billing so be weary… Horrible experience when they could have just offered the credit for a customer who has not used their services after being charged but again was forced to reinstall app o receive credit. Where is the customer service of morality? Other apps sent credit immediately we need more app developers like that, that help small businesses vs taking from them with no accommodations and real support. My advice… Find a better app to use for this. One with integrity.

My Cart stopped showing the added produts, it only displayed the app´s suggested product with discounts, I had to uninstall it!

Complaint on 7 August: Beware of Hidden Charges – No Notice & Misleading Pricing I was charged $39.99 without any prior notice after reinstalling the app briefly to test it. I uninstalled it within 2 days because it was too confusing to set-up, YET still got billed. The fee doesn't even match the pricing listed on their app page (which shows highest pricing to be less than $20), and there's NO clear warning that previous installs remove your free trial. This is very DECEPTIVE, MISLEADING and UNFAIR. I've requested a full refund immediately BUT they refused to issue a refund, despite all my points of misleading and unclear billing process. I strongly urge other store owners to be cautious before installing this app. Don’t fall into the same trap. Be very cautious before installing — you might get charged even if you don’t actually use the app. Update as of 10 August: Following my initial review on 7 August regarding being charged $39.99 despite not using or activating the app, ReConvert responded by justifying the charge based on their pricing being publicly available. However, they did not explain why I was charged the $39.99 tier—meant for around 400 orders—despite my store having zero sales, nor why the lowest tier of $4.99 (for stores with minimal or no orders) was not applied instead. The selection of the higher charge tier remains completely unjustified. They offered only store credit—conditional on reinstalling the app—even after acknowledging that I had not used the app at all. I raised several points in response: 1. My store had zero orders, so charging the $39.99 tier makes no sense. 2. There was no clear warning that reactivating the app voids the free trial. 3. Their pricing info is inconsistent between their website and the Shopify app store. 4. I did contact support, but only for setup—assuming I was within the free trial. (they claimed I did not reach out to them before installing to clarify pricing - why should I if everywhere on their platform it states clearly 14-day free trial) 5. I found another merchant review on their app page reporting the same issue: being charged after reinstalling to claim refund and not receiving a fair resolution. I clearly requested a full refund, or at minimum, a refund minus the $4.99 base tier. I’ve reported this issue to Shopify and made it clear I will not reinstall the app under misleading or coercive conditions. I’m posting this update to help other merchants avoid a similar experience. My follow-up to Reconvert's reply on 10 Aug again: ReConvert's weak explanation just proves how unfair, flawed and unreasonable their billing system is. Charging me $39.99 based on past 30 days of orders, when your app wasn’t even active or used, makes no sense. You can’t claim credit for sales your app had nothing to do with. Even if Shopify assigns the tier, it’s your (ReConvert) responsibility to ensure billing only starts with actual usage, not just installation. There was also no clear warning that reinstallation skips the free trial and triggers a charge - and a charge that is baseless!!! (BEWARE business owners ... if your past order history on Shopify is higher than mine - you may be charged as high as $2,000 upfront) And offering store credit only if I reinstall the app again feels like a trap—especially since others have reported being charged again that way. I’m asking for a fair resolution: a full refund, or refund minus $4.99 (your base tier)—without needing to reinstall.
