We originally gave the BTA app a 2-star rating due to a frustrating issue with Shopify POS compatibility and some limitations in core features. At the time, the app no longer functioned with Shopify’s updated POS system—despite what was stated on the App Store—which disrupted our checkout process and required inconvenient workarounds involving elevated admin permissions for our retail staff. Since then, the BTA team has resolved the POS issue, and the app is once again working smoothly in our store environment. This was a major concern for us, and we truly appreciate the team’s responsiveness in addressing it. We’re updating our rating to 4 stars to reflect this improvement and to acknowledge that the app overall still brings meaningful value to our business. That said, there are still areas for growth—such as the hardcoded 6-month limit on the Events widget, which restricts our ability to promote events further in advance. We’re continuing to use the app and are hopeful that future updates will bring more flexibility and customization. We appreciate the progress so far and look forward to what’s next!

The App itself is very easy to set up and use. I've used other apps and this one has impressed me the most, and given me the ability to customize almost everything for our store. The BTA team is incredible to work with. I've ran into issues twice so far, that the BTA team was very quick to respond and were able to address the problems.

We've had an inconsistent experience with the BTA app. Despite investing significant time and effort to get it working for our needs, some fairly basic requirements remain unmet. For example, the Events widget is hardcoded to display only up to six months of events, with no option to extend that range. It's not unreasonable to expect the ability to use this feature to promote events beyond six months. Our biggest disappointment, however, is that the app no longer functions with Shopify POS—despite claims to the contrary on the Shopify App Store. This lack of compatibility with POS upgrades is unacceptable. The suggested workarounds are not only inconvenient, but they also slow down our checkout process and force us to give retail staff access to additional permissions in Shopify admin, which is far from ideal. At this point, we're seriously questioning whether BTA is a sustainable long-term partner for our business.

Rob B was super wonderful to work with at BTA. BTA is fairly simple to use where I was able to set up everything on my own. I wanted to make sure all my settings were correct so I contacted support and was connected with Rob B. We reviewed the functions and how they should operate and he was able to view my settings and make corrections for me. I am happy with the app itself as well as their customer service - thanks again Rob :)

The app's been solid, and has a lot of flexibility especially with the API. Two things I wish we could do more easily: * Dynamic pricing, or pricing based on time of day vs. having to create a whole separate product and calendar. * More flexibility with the form styling. We don't use the widgets (even though they keep recommending it) because I can't target the code with CSS for customization. They only offer their GUI for changing some components, but that's not enough for us.

I've been using BTA for a little over a year now and I LOVE IT! It works seamlessly and it's easy me and for my customers to use. Support is always helpful when I have issues (which is usually user caused-me) they are always able to find the challenge and it's fixed in one interaction.

I've only been using Book That App for a short while and I'm still getting familiar with it. However, the support team has been absolutely excellent! They responded quickly and were very knowledgeable in helping me resolve my issues. Really impressed by their professionalism and efficiency - top support team. Just installed the app but I am liking the flexibility so far. I had a couple little glitches that honestly were probably caused by things I did. The support staff we very helpful and prompt. They have me up and running again. Recommend.

Used the paid version for our other websites and worked fine until we wanted to improve our booking system. Admin dashboard can be confusing and when you contact support they talk to you in a condescending tone, very unprofessional. For the price there are better options.
