Absolutely terrible new app. 80% of the features of the old app no longer works and we are forced to "upgrade/update" to the new app that is merely functional. New orders on Shopify aren't synced as invoices and only as sales receipts, which isn't suitable. All transactions that require review can't even be accepted as they require all line items to have a tax setting. I can't see a tax setting for some line items, which then doesn't allow us to proceed, leaving all transactions unsynced. Really unsure what the developers of this app were thinking to upgrade/update. It is 100 steps backwards, we will need to be using another integration app. On top of that, we can no longer sync Shopify products to Quickbooks using the "updated' app. I really don't know who thoughts this was a good idea but it's one of the silliest ideas we've seen.

UPDATE 01/27/2026: The app is still non-functional 4 days after the forced transition. We have dozens of mismatched receipts and we still can't add any downloaded receipts to the books, even after painstakingly matching the products manually, because tax codes are non-functional! The new app which will be mandatory for all Shopify users from 27th January 2026 is BARELY FUNCTIONAL. Issues: 1. New customers are not automatically created in Quickbooks. You have to manually check a box to add the customer in Quickbooks, otherwise Quickbooks just creates a generic customer called 'Shopify Customer'. This extra manual work is time lost on other essential tasks. 2. Products are NOT matched correctly between Shopify orders and their associating Quickbooks sales receipts. For example, a black sweatshirt on a shopify order matches to a petrol small t-shirt on the the Quickbooks sales receipt (!!). This means you have to manually change each product line item on each sales receipt to make sure everything matches. Needless to say this is a HUGE waste of time if you have dozens (or more) daily transactions and multiple product orders (pretty much every e-commerce store). Advice to all users that have to transition to the new app: Do NOT select 'automatically add transactions to quickbooks' in the initlal setup screen, or you'll end up with a whole lot of mismatched sales receipts and customers in your books that could take hours to clean up. The question must be asked, how on earth has Quickbooks launched a barely functional app, when the old one worked pretty much perfectly? Congratulations Quickbooks on dumping a perfectly working app for a garbage one that doesn't offer the most basic of features.

I am also unhappy to have the existing well functioning integration replaced with less than a week's notice. The new app is rudimentary at best. The most glaring oversight is the ability to MAP payment types to different bank accounts in Quickbooks e.g. Shopify/Paypal to name a few. I was horrified when logging in that all the rules I have carefully built have been completed wiped out. Really bad customer service.

I totally agree with Just Tall, the new app doesn't work and is a complete disaster. Forced to upgrade to the new version and a week has gone by and we can't sync a single order from Shopify. Great work Quickbooks. Now what do we do??? Are you expecting us to manually enter thousands of sales into our Quickbooks or should that be Slowbooks as that is what it is now. Whatever happened to "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" maybe the head of technology at Intuit should try using his own product before changing what worked perfectly to this "great idea"

As of Jan 26 2026 this app is completely broken and useless. They forced an upgrade from a fully working solution to a solution that does not work AT ALL! Support useless - Total support suggestion was try a different browser or clear your cache. Are you kidding me?? Why are you BETA testing an app on all your customers? I like the new system and full integration with QBO UI but its just not ready. What are we suppose to do, Go pay for a 3rd party for 6 months till you fix it? Really whats the solution?

Jebran was very helpful and patient, but the issue is with the new version of the app which is missing significant features from the old version. This means Connector is of no value to me as it will not create Sales Receipts in QuickBooks and gives no warning or ability to initiate a re-sync. They should not have forced users to migrate to the new app until it at least replicated the functionality of the old app, hence the 1 star review, no reflection on the agent Jebran.

As of January 21, 2026 the app doesn't work, and there is no support available. When you try connecting it to Shopify it says: Something went wrong. Try again later. I contacted support 24 hours ago, and there is no any kind of reply. Looking at 1-star reviews, most of them are from the last few months. It looks like the app currently is unusable, with no support. I wish a reputable company like Intuit would provide better support for such a BASIC piece of functionality to their Quickbooks clients.

AVOID! This APP is having connection issues and the development team has been unable to get it corrected since Christmas. It worked flawlessly until mid December and after a Shopify update...this app has not worked as originally installed this summer. They have been working on it for 3 weeks now, still no solution. AVOID until further notice....seriously. We are installing a different APP until they get this corrected. Anvil Brand

After using the app for approximately three hours, we were charged for a full month. When we requested a refund, customer support was extremely slow to respond, and after nearly an hour of waiting, our request for a refund of the trial period was declined.

We recently installed this for our main store. Tech support started really well, but we soon hit the limits of their or their Bot's capabilities. We, like many stores, have D2C, B2B, and POS customers. The app is not capable of handling all three. You have to choose one which totally messes up your accounting. In today's world, how many stores operate on a single channel? We have tried to escalate the issue and have been given the runaround for two weeks now.

Wasted about 4 hours trying to get QuickBooks Online to work with Shopify. Had an in induction call where they couldn't actually help me set it up. Utterly useless.
