I’ve used Sky Pilot for several years, and unfortunately I’ve had ongoing issues throughout that time.The biggest problem is poor bandwidth speed and server instability. Downloads regularly drop out, and customers are often disconnected partway through. The real kicker is that you’re still charged for the data used even when customers can’t access or complete the download. If a customer gets booted at 20–50%, you still pay for that bandwidth. Over time, those failed downloads add up very quickly expect $700–$1,000 USD bills if you’re running any kind of volume.I’ve raised these issues multiple times, including phone calls with management. Each time, the explanation is the same: blame is placed on their wholesale provider (Amazon servers). Occasionally I receive a small discount (usually around 10%) on a very large bill, but nothing meaningful is done to fix the underlying performance issues.Billing is another major concern. The system is confusing and feels poorly designed. I even raised concerns with Shopify, and the response around billing was vague and uncomfortable. If you’re on a custom plan and try to reduce your data usage to save money, you can be charged immediately for the new plan on top of what you’ve already paid for the month, effectively double-charging you. When questioned, support suggests changing plans only on the exact day your billing period expires which is hardly a practical solution.At this point, there are new options on Shopify offering unlimited data, better speeds, and clearer pricing. If you’re a small business trying to control costs and deliver a reliable experience to customers, it’s absolutely worth shopping around.

Horrible onboarding. App populates a download button on all of your checkout pages including your physical products not connected to the app. Live chat experience was maddening. Was promised a google meet to chat at a specified time at my urging but never received a link.

too complicated, all I wanted to do is send a pdf to a customer on shopify, but there is no ability to attach a file to a customer email. Shopify suggested Sky Pilot, which wasted 2 hours of my time, on wix you can just attach the pdf in the custome inbox .....

I have given them 2 months to resolve an issue that my inventory is too large. I check every few days and every few days, im told they are working on it. Before you invest any time into this, make sure their app can handle your account. It also creates concerns about the stability of the app or its ability to handle growth. at $103 per month its a concern. I will be glad to update this when they have resolved the issue.

I would luv to give zero stars if I could. It's not as user friendly as they say. If you're not familiar with tech like me I definitely, definitely would not use the Sky Pilot app. Every time I reach out to customer service, I tell them I'm not tech savvy and they chat back or leave messages like I'm a tech support specialist..and they are very vague with their instructions. It's so frustrating because they give these hard to understand instructions and I have to reach out to them again and ask for easy to understand answers. Then some of the answers aren't correct and I'm sent on a wild goose chase to get the answers I need. When chatting with the reps it takes them so long to respond back with an answer to my question, 3 to 4 minutes. I asked one rep why it takes them so long..he said they are helping several people at once. I was on a chat for over 2 hours and my question still wasn't answered. I am a patient and considerate person however as a business owner dealing with Sky Pilot and Shopify, I've lost money and I'm sure clients as well. I'm not blaming the reps as much as I'm blaming the business..because the representatives are probably overwhelmed and overworked. I have had such bad experiences, and tears of frustration. It's been unbearable and unbelievable.
