Here are the most important bullet points from our experience with Emarsys and why you shouldn't use it at any cost if you are on Shopify: 1- the most important reason is that Emarsys-Shopify integration is broken and doesn't work as expected, of course, they don't accept this fact but you can see it in the data management dashboard in Emarsys itself. My client has been on Emarsys for about 3 years and they charged my client with all the onboarding costs, but when I joined them about 6 months ago nothing was working correctly. and from that time with all my follow-ups with their team they couldn't solve the very basic problems that we have (for instance, the number of orders in Shopify and Emarsys didn't match) 2- They charge you with so much extra costs as onboarding and etc, and hook you with a yearly contract, so you can't get rid of them easily when you understand their platform doesn't work for Shopify. and then they threaten you to engage the legal team and money collection companies. 3- Emarsys support is drastically slower than the normal support in the industry. while so many companies answer your chat support in 10 minutes, it's normal if you get the first response from the Emarsys support team after a week and it's the same process and timing for each time you answer their messages. overall it's a disaster to deal with their support. I'm the number one Emarsys freelancer on Upwork and I've been working with this platform for more than 5 years, and it's extremely disappointing to see how they perform on the biggest E-commerce platform on the globe. Hope this review helps you to choose your marketing platform smarter and don't fall in Emarsys trap.
