What Merchants Think

The "Infinite Product Options" app is generally well-regarded by merchants for its ability to provide extensive customization options for products. Users appreciate the ease of adding personalized options without hassle. However, the sentiment is mixed, as some merchants experience technical issues and communication challenges with support during significant updates or functionality changes. Despite this, many merchants highlight the app as a valuable tool that significantly enhances their product offerings on Shopify.

Key Strengths

  • Facilitates a wide range of product customization options.
  • Highly praised for excellent and responsive customer support.
  • Ease of use in setup and functionality.
  • Effective integration with Shopify to enhance personalization capabilities.
  • Provides timely solutions and assistance with coding needs.

  • Issues with order data not transferring properly.
  • Complaints about additional charges for basic functionalities.
  • Some merchants report lack of transparency and proactive communication from the support team.
  • Occasional technical challenges requiring external help to resolve.

Final Thoughts

Overall, "Infinite Product Options" is a powerful tool for enhancing product offerings through customization on Shopify. While many users praise its functionalities and support, there are notable concerns regarding its reliability during updates and potential hidden costs. For those seeking robust customer service and diverse features, this app is a strong contender, though users should remain vigilant about updates and potential functionality hiccups.

At first glance it's perfect, but in execution this app has two serious flaws. First, there's no built-in way to bulk export the order data gathered with Infinite Options. So unless you're painstakingly filling orders one at a time, fulfillment requires a second app. Second, at any time, the customer can remove a paid add-on from their cart, but the parent product will still display as ordered with the add-on. When it is that easy for customers to order products they haven't paid for, then I can't take this as a functioning app for selling things. There are "workarounds" for this second issue listed in support articles, but they do not work.
