The on-boarding process is basically non-exist. I installed the app via. app store, and all you get is a page with a "Get started" button. Clicked on the button and being redirected to a account register page, after the registration, being redirected back to Shopify app admin page, nothing happens. I refreshed the page, now It is asking credentials such as API keys, which I never been informed about. I didn't even know my account was successfully created or not. Already here, I stopped using the app. If the start phase is this difficult and not userfriendly, how can I expect the UI and features in the app are userfriendly?

It is definitely not a straight forward implementation which requires support and that is pretty much none-existent unless you commit to min $12,000 USD a year. Terrible support with pay as you go plan. We have tickets over 20 days old not answered.

Love this app! Tons of flexibility around ranking factors, using tags or metafields. We also have enjoyed using the dynamic re-ranking feature which boosts our products based on CTR and CVR

We have several stores we manage and were having issues with search and filtering. Algolia has been an amazing tool for our team presenting results quickly, giving us more control over the results that are returned and providing us with great support.

Algolia is a great product and we are very happy with it. This has drastically improved our search and merch experience through AI recommendations and other automations. The platform is always evolving and we can't wait to see the new features. The Algolia app works well with Shopify. It does not provide a frontend framework though so this is something your developer team will need to implement with Algolia. Also their support and CSM are very responsive and we have always been able to find commercial and technical solutions.

I recommend Algolia 100% - When launched our online store we used different apps for product discovery functionalities, it was always complex and the results obtained never made sense. I have worked on Algolia implementations for other software stacks, and I can tell that the integration with Shopify facilitates a lot of work that you would need to do if you need to build this integration from scratch. This App doesn't provide out of box functionalities for design, etc. so it might need some adjustment and customisations to fit your needs in terms of design. That said, the most valuable thing this App provides is the access to first in class e-commerce technology for Search & Discovery without doing a lot of work.

Very easy to setup, just a few button clicks. The Search result page was easy to customise and I could easily blend it to look like my website. From no search ability to a great search functionality in matter of minutes - that's what I loved about it. Great search results as expected and I also tried their new NeuralSearch product which enables me to support multi-language semantic search in less than an hour. Very Exciting.
