*****BEWARE!! DO NOT USE TAXJAR!!! *****Charging us $30,000 in states sales tax when we really owe $300. RIDICULOUS!!! They will not help us amend this before filing. They will be stealing $30,000 from us that we don't have!! They also take days to respond and there are deadlines that they will not help before!

Support can't tell me why the total sales in one county do not equal the sum of sales in three cities located within that county. I'm just getting cut and paste replies that suggest I should inquire with my state's DOR. My return is being flatly rejected because of their faulty calculations. How could the state have an answer for Taxjar's unacceptable numbers? They've basically shrugged their shoulders literally telling me that Taxjar uses 'lots of tax logic'.

Consider this review a serious caution. I wish it were possible to rate this app with zero stars. The support team is virtually non-existent, and on the rare occasion you do receive a response, it's clear they lack any real understanding of their own service. We're currently paying $349 monthly for the Pro plan, which is set to increase to $499 next month. Additionally, they fail to offer SST service as they aren't a certified service provider, which is concerning given the seriousness of sales tax compliance and the risks associated with non-compliance. I strongly advise avoiding this service.

Horrible Support. Based in India. Canned Responses, Zero interest of helping you resolve problems with THEIR APP.

Pretty bad. A migration issue resulted in an overpayment of my taxes by thousands in one state and they are now not responding to my emails.

The customer support on this app is ATROCIOUS. We were locked out of our account for OVER a week. Their customer support is in India and each response is 24 hours or more. It's fine as long as it is working. The customer support is one thing but one month when we imported older orders into Shopify it counted ALL the orders even though the dates were over a year old. We had AUTO file set and it deducted $85K from our bank account and it took a few days to get it back. I am SO DONE.

missed tax payment ... showed them and they said they could file it in 6-8 weeks-- oh and I got a late fee

Taxjar is worth every penny. By helping us put our US taxes on autopilot, we can focus time instead on our business. Autofile is easy to setup, and once you've linked up your Shopify or Amazon channels, it'll automatically start pulling in all the data and calculate how much taxes you owe. It's a no-brainer, and hugely helpful.

Tax jar was really amazing. Fantastic customer service and support. Explains all issues as often as needed and offers a variety of options in dealing with tax issues.

TaxJar makes paying sales tax extremely easy and hassle free. The customer service is why I'm taking the time to leave a review. A few months back our State Department of Revenue made an error that resulted in an incorrect payment. I notified TaxJar and they took the time to contact them and solve the problem. I really appreciate TaxJar going above and beyond to help a small business function. I would recommend them to anybody with an ecommerce business!

It sure takes a load off of calculating taxes for California. It's a bit pricey for having just one nexus maybe, but a lifesaver in general. Thanks from all of us at https://revivserums.com -- none of us like to do accounting work!

I don't know how I would be able to file sales tax forms in all the states I need to without an app like taxjar. I have been using it for two years now....great customer service too.

I've been using TaxJar for several months and wanted to use their AutoFile service. TaxJar's numbers didn't fully match what Shopify had. It was a whopping $2 off, but it was off. I had brought over some sales pre- TaxJar. I emailed them with a screenshot of what I had. Got a very prompt email response saying they would look into it.. Got a second email response within next to no time with an explanation. They adjusted what they had, and they filed my sales tax return without a hitch. So easy!

This app is a LIFE SAVER. Must have for any store with high volume sales. Saves so much valuable time and headaches when it comes to filing sales tax.

Great app. Paying sales tax and getting it organized is one of our least favorite things to deal with. Tax Jar simplifies it perfectly.

TaxJar provides a very simple service that saves me hundreds of dollars a year. Now I don't worry at all about filing my sales tax. Huge headache alleviated.
