Not recommended at all. This app is just such a "pay-to-win" app type.. They have a really basic personalised points program, which does not allow you to make any little modification. In my case, I reached out the max capacity of the starter plan and started considering upgrading to the 199€ / month, but wanted to see how a couple of new things would work inside of the app first. I found out you can't even access your app with all your customers points and information if you don't pay the upgraded plan in advance. I talked with customer support but, in their words: "they cannot do anything bc I maxed it out my plan" I am very disappointed with this greedy policy they work with, and now I am looking for another options.

The pricing and lack of features has gotten out of control. We are unsure how Smile calculates the 500 order threshold, but it is not accurate. Beware of the bait and switch for pricing and features that should be included but behind paywalls. You'll be paying $200/month shortly. We constantly get customer complaints how hard it is to redeem rewards. We have been loyal customers, but it is time to move on and I would bet many are looking for ways out.

We were on the paid plan for a while but found the monthly cost too high for the value it offered. After downgrading to the free plan, we removed all references to the rewards program from our site, as we decided to stop using it - I just kept it there because it's free and doing no harm. However, I recently discovered the app has still been sending messages to our customers, which we weren’t aware of. I checked the settings on the free plan and there were no settings to show that the app was sending emails and no option to turn it off. I have since deleted the app.

PLEASE make sure you are watching the ROI on this app, it might work for you but we were getting charged close to $1000 a month on the $199 growth plan. Turns out we were losing $500 a month using SMILE.

Initial Experience with Support – Disappointing So Far I just installed the app and reached out for help through the chat box. It’s been over an hour and still no response from the support team. I received an automated message saying someone would reply to my email within 30 minutes, but I’m still waiting with no update. I haven’t had a chance to fully test the app yet, so I will hold off on a final review — but I may consider changing my rating if I receive professional and timely support. However, if this is how the support team handles the very first interaction, it raises serious concerns about the level of support I can expect after activating the app on my store. First impressions matter — and unfortunately, this one has not been great.

Unacceptable Customer Service and Unfair Subscription Policy I am extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by this company. They offer only chat and email support, both of which take hours to receive a response—completely unacceptable for a paid service. What’s even more frustrating is their unfair subscription policy. I paid $50 for a monthly subscription, and after realizing the app didn’t meet my expectations, I canceled the subscription within an hour to avoid being charged for the next cycle. To my surprise, all the paid features were immediately revoked, and I was denied access to the app for the remaining 29 days—despite having already paid for the full month! To make matters worse, Shelby, who appears to be in customer service, seems completely uninterested in providing any real assistance. Why have someone in customer service if they are not willing to do their job? Her lack of concern and unwillingness to help only adds to the frustration of dealing with this company. This practice is unacceptable and misleading. I PAID FOR THE MONTH and should be entitled to use the service for the entire duration, regardless of when I choose to cancel. I expect a resolution to this issue immediately.

App does not support post-purchase upsell points, they do not count towards the total automatically and need to be added manually to every order, what a joke!! Also, the app does not retroactively add points for previous orders a person made before you installed the app.

Malísimo. Su servicio sí da puntos, pero la gente no puede usarlos. Y al abrir el caso con soporte, más de 24 horas y nadie es capaz de responder el chat. Más de 3 días y nadie responde por correo.

I had a brief play with the free to install version but you'd need to upgrade to the $49 a month to get any value. I upgraded but within 2 days noticed huge delays throughout the app. New customers were not getting points immediately and it would sometimes take 5+ minutes before they were being awarded. Customers who signed up to get money off their first purchase were then getting frustrated and leaving the site when they didn't get their points resulting in loss of sales You have to pay $199 a month to get access to a landing page. I realised this is essential as working through the popup is frustrating for users. I had no support from Smile as I was trying to work through my problems so within a day of paying $49 I asked for my money back and they said no. I've since found Rivo which is cheaper and so much better. Their starter plan includes the landing page which smile wanted $199 a month for.

It seems ok, but you have to pay to edit ANYTHING pretty much. Its so disappointing trying to find a good loyalty program to use as a small woman owned business just starting out. I feel like there should be a company who caters to small start ups... we cant afford to pay $$$ to offer the BASICS to our customers... I want to love this app... but I cant just yet. The Free version is VERY VERY basic and you cant customize anything but the background color... :( dont yall remember what it was like to be a small a start up? Couldnt yall offer a slightly better cheaper version for someone like us?

Could be a good app but you can't control what points are earnt on. Needs to be more control so you don't reward points on low margin or low supply high demand products. Developer says they may add to get you on board but no action yet.
