Loox is a powerful Shopify app designed to help merchants collect and showcase customer reviews with photo and video testimonials. Reviews play a crucial role in building trust and driving sales. This page provides an unbiased analysis of Loox, including its features, pricing, and real user experiences to help you decide if it’s the right fit for your store.
I have been using this application for 2 months. I do not recommend it! I selected the Scale plan and after some time I noticed that in addition to the amount related to the plan they charged me another 40 dollars. I studied a little and saw that they charge a commission for each order!! From my point of view it is not normal for them to charge you as an affiliate without doing anything for those orders. Be careful!!! As for support, they did not respond to any messages. The application is ok but very difficult to set up, they do not offer help. In short, they associate with you in the business and make you do nothing. I decided to uninstall it.
Finger weg für 12,99§ nur 500 Bestellungen insgesamnt nichts monatlich. Für 301 Bestellungen kostet 80$ .. Es gibt weitaus bessere Alternativen.
This review is about Reviewers.com (a service that’s part of Loox). We tested it and gifted 10 sets of 3 framed prints to their “reviewers,” with a total cost of $2,700. So far (almost one month after delivery), we’ve received 8 reviews instead of 10. One review was negative and misleading. The reviewer stated that the prints were “not glass like it claimed to be,” even though this was not stated on the product page. They also said the quality was “terrible,” yet didn’t show any specific defect in the video. Without the caption, sound, or text, the video would actually look like a positive showcase of nice prints. This makes the process feel unreliable, even though Loox promised honest reviews. We also received a few very unprofessional reviews that appear to have been left quickly just to unlock more free products from other brands. Their policy prevents reviewers from requesting new gifts until they leave a review, but there don’t seem to be meaningful consequences for reviewers who never submit one — which likely explains the two missing reviews. Other important limitations: You can’t approve or choose who receives your products. It doesn’t seem like Reviewers.com thoroughly vets reviewers. To be fair, we did receive 2 really great reviews. But overall, based on our experience, the results didn’t justify the cost and felt risky for brands.
Loox's policy is a joke: they allow 1-star reviews that complain only about their aggressive email spamming to damage your product ratings. Their support team actively defends this flawed reasoning, claiming non-product complaints are "genuine experiences." Even Google removes off-topic spam, but Loox won't. If you want your ratings to reflect actual product quality, not app frustration, avoid this platform. Terrible choice for serious merchants.
Entire thing is a nightmare. Easy to subscribe to, but makes it impossible to unsubscribe. If I could give it 0 stars I definitely would! Absolutely terrible!
Super unhappy with the support. Have messaged them twice as reviews dont show the same on the landing page as on the product pages. Time for me to look into a new reviews app.
With the new interface of their software, when searching for a specific user and trying to unpublish that user’s reviews, it ended up unpublishing all product reviews on the website instead. What’s ridiculous is that they haven’t provided any solution and are only suggesting that we switch back to the old version. It’s been three days and this bug still hasn’t been fixed. I’m starting to wonder if they’ve laid off all their developers—how can such a simple bug remain unresolved? They only take money but offer no real solutions. I think they’re going to lose a lot of loyal customers. This is really terrible!
Strong Warning to Merchants Hidden charges, extremely misleading pricing. Avoid. This is one of the most unethical and non-transparent Shopify apps I have ever used. Loox charges extra fees without clear awareness or meaningful consent, purely based on order count — even if you do NOT use any of their so-called advanced features. We only used Loox for basic product review display on product pages. We did NOT: send review request emails use upsells use referrals use discounts or automations Yet we were automatically charged an additional $40 “usage fee” per month. When confronted, support explicitly stated that usage fees apply regardless of whether features are used or not, and they refused to refund charges for unused functionality. This is not a pricing issue — this is a billing trap designed to quietly extract more money from merchants who don’t constantly audit their Shopify invoices. Serious warning to all merchants: Check your Shopify bills every month Do NOT assume you’re only paying the base plan Many stores are likely being overcharged without realizing it I genuinely regret installing this app. I wouldn’t even give it one star if that were possible.
SON UNOS COMPLETOS ABUSIVOS!!!! CUIDADO SI ESCALAS PORQUE POR SUS HUEVOS TE COBRAN SOLO POR TRANSACCIONAR ORDENES, SON UNOS ESTAFADORES ENGAÑOSOS! CUIDADOOOOO
The service is absolutely terrible. I spend approximately $200-300 USD every month, and whenever I need to make changes, I contact customer service, but they always transfer me to their second-tier support team. Then I have to wait a very long time before I receive an email reply. The service is just awful.
even though you unpublished the review, they can still be seen on google. Any crazy person can write you a horrible untrue review or just give you 1 star for nothing and even though you "unpublished" it, they are still shown on google. before getting this app, make sure you know this.
its very difficult to import reviews from etsy and they dont provide much help

The app is overpriced and charges additional fees during use without clear notice. I don’t recommend it.
Great app but they charge you EXTRA $40 FOR EVERY 300 orders after the first 300. Without any notice I got big bill due to Black Friday sales. Compared to the competition this is like 40x the price. changing to another app and recommend to anyone with more than 300 orders to BEWARE.
It’s terrrbly expensive and I hate paying so much for this app. I had to cancel it today
Complete scam do not use this platform, they charge you 40$ for every 300 orders you get, for doing NOTHING. no sending reviews, no nothing, just a flat 40$ per 300 orders. the audacity for a review app to do that is astounding.
