Title: Life-saver for our small Dutch family shop Review: We’re a tiny family webshop that only sells in the Netherlands & Belgium. A few days ago we suddenly got hit hard by a targeted bot attack (dozens of bots every few minutes from Russia, Brazil, USA, Ukraine, etc.) plus spam and threatening messages on other platforms. It was extremely stressful. Within minutes after contacting support, Kai and the senior dev team jumped in. They first helped me get the attack under control and then personally added custom backend logic to block ALL traffic outside NL/BE – something that isn’t even a standard feature. Negate has made a HUGE difference in the performance of our ads since we installed it ≈ 18 months ago. For years, bot-triggered events had been sent back to ad platforms and drowning out legitimate signal with noise, but within days of install we started seeing a *massive* improvement in traffic quality because now only human-triggered events were being passed back to Meta, Google, et al. I've also been repeatedly impressed by Negate's prompt replies to CS inquiries and the care they've taken in thoroughly researching issues I've brought to their attention in order to provide top-notch customer service.

First started using this service a couple years ago when my website was getting data scraped from bots 24/7. Most likely coinciding with all the AI training companies were beginning to do. The data scraping wrecked my suggested items widgets, preventing them from popping up. This service immediately eliminated all of those bot visits. The bot visits have slowed down recently so I reached out to customer service to adjust my plan. Kai responded very promptly and was beyond helpful while listening to my concerns about my subscription and website. I'd highly recommend this app if bot protections/prevention is required. -JT

This app has been a great find among a slew of other ineffectual alternatives. Easy to implement and seriously effective at tackling bots. Kai's support was rapid and informative and contributed to the overall success of us being able to restore order to our sessions.

Did not work for us. Had bots hammering a form of ours, it was not identifying any of those as bots. There were also no way for us to set rules based on trends we had seen from bots.

The app was also blocking ad crawlers, which made our ad cost tripled. Doesn't seem that the app is blocking the right bots and it has cause more damage than helping.

We use Negate to block the entry of bots into our website and we're very happy with the results. Recently, because I had changed the theme, Negate stopped working leading to one day about 800 German bots entering. Kai from Negate support efficiently helped us solve this situation and now we're back to a great place in this area.

Kai has been super useful throughout with his setup recommendations for Negate. Negate helped to reduce a spike in bot traffic we were seeing. This traffic was ultimately skewing website metrics and costing us money on profile volume billing. Negate helped prevent this.

Had an issue with bots from Ashburn VA and Council Bluffs Iowa. Paul was very prompt and professional to respond for Negate support. He clarified that these bots from AWS were not actually Amazon, but instead people who rent servers from AWS in order to crawl my website! On the pro plan was able to FINALLY get this under control. We've been using the Negate website dashboard since 2022, and it’s been a game-changer in blocking bot traffic from our Facebook and Instagram ads. At one point, we accidentally disabled Negate protection and immediately saw a drop in conversion rate. As soon as we re-enabled Negate protection, our conversions went back up, clear proof that it works!! The dashboard is detailed, showing visitor IPs, locations, and whether they’re human or bots. We also love that the protection settings are adjustable, allowing us to redirect bots, use advanced AI, and implement fingerprinting for even better filtering. Plus, Taylor is always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. We just installed the official Shopify app for convenience, and it was a simple switch. Highly recommend for anyone wasting ad spend on bot traffic!
