TaxRex has been so helpful with the transition from the previous 3rd party filing service we had been using. Their communications are prompt and clear. The previous service left several of our state accounts a mess and difficult to get into. TaxRex, with their patience and expertise, helped us work through every one of them. I would highly recommend someone else. I just got this from their support about their California tax reports not being broken down as they should (schedules A and B) "he tax information from Shopify is same for all the states. Our app generates reports for all the states in a similar manner. We cannot change the report to make it in the format of the Schedules or any other format for any specific states. We get autofile requests from California for several clients. Our team converts the reports genearetd from the app to the very specific format for any state as might be required. They also manualy convert it to schedules A & B for California. Please let us know if you would like to try our Autoifle service so that our team can do the filing for California for next quarter." Basically they don't want you to access reports, they want you to buy their autofile service for $20 PER filing. If you have to file monthly, the price is going to be high. Suggest going somewhere else.

These guys take a lot of the pain out of sales tax compliance... as much pain as it's possible to take out of sales tax compliance at least :) The auto file is so simple/good. Excellent, highly responsive support team - an order of magnitude better than TaxJar.

I want to make these people cookies I like them so much. We have been with Avalara for about 2 years and just went through a major issue where Avalara filed a number of returns for us incorrectly - it was a nightmare. What made it worse was trying to get a hold of someone in their customer service dept who would actually DO something about it. It took two months (yes two months of back and forth) to learn that they wouldn't correct their mistake unless we paid a tremendous amount of money to correct the filings. I have been with Tax Rex for less than two weeks and they've already corrected over half of the filings, been extremely communicative and clear in those communications. It feels like going from some of the worst customer service I've every had to some of the best. I'm so grateful that Tax Rex exists, is so simple to use, responds promptly to questions, and helps as much as possible. I wish I would have switched over a lot sooner!

If you are looking for an easy-to-use tax app with great customer service then this is the app for you. Responses to our questions have been very quick and friendly. We found the app easy to install, easy to monitor nexus thresholds and they have made the option of setting up auto file returns for our required states so easy. So far this had been an excellent app that I would highly recommend.

Great app and great support. Flexible enough to automatically ignore certainly order types if you want (Amazon, etc.) and the reporting turned out to be more accurate than the reporting from Shopify. Have also recently started using their auto-filing service and happy with that as well!

Very responsive and helpful. Good value and made our life easier. Many of us medium-sized business owners are facing the out-of-state taxing requirements, not only as a new financial obligation, but also as a massive amount of extra work that has complicated our business. State obligations (Nexus) was probably the largest nation-wide tax increase ever. We can understand states collecting taxes on out-of-state sales, but it is the bureaucratic requirements that have been pushed on Businesses that are ridiculous. You will quickly find that you need to hire an expert service provider that understands the state-to-state requirements – they are all different, time consuming, and full of the typical government style bureaucratic processes. Finding a service like Tax Rex has been great. I looked at several other service providers and their costs were ridiculous and many had very poor service. I tried Tax Jar, Alavara, Tax cloud... None of them compared to the value I have received from TaxRex. I hope by recommending TaxRex that other business owners learn from my experience and take advantage of their services.

I absolutely love this app- it has saved us. Every new state we have liability in, we simply fill out the form and TAX REX does the rest. Every time we have questions, we submit a help request and get help next day if not within 3-4days. I went out of my way to fill this out just to let others know that this is a very valuable service and worth every dollar.
