Merchants overwhelmingly praise "Printful: Print on Demand" for its ease of use, seamless integration with platforms like Shopify, and overall quality of products and services. Retailers appreciate the app's design tools, fast order fulfillment, and supportive customer service, which contribute to a positive experience for store owners and their customers alike. However, occasional technical issues and pricing concerns are noted by some users.
"Printful: Print on Demand" is widely regarded as a top-notch platform for e-commerce businesses looking to expand their product offerings without holding inventory. Despite some concerns about pricing and technical issues, the app's integration capabilities, product quality, and customer support make it a highly recommended choice for both beginners and seasoned entrepreneurs.
Printful’s overreach on copyright enforcement is excessive and hostile to independent creators. Despite submitting 100% original artwork—no logos, no names, no direct copies—my designs were repeatedly rejected for merely being inspired by popular styles. Their system treats any resemblance, no matter how abstract or transformative, as infringement. There's no appeals process, no nuance, and zero support for fair use or artistic originality. If you’re a real artist, especially one with a unique style rooted in fan-inspired work, Printful is not your ally—it’s a roadblock. Use another platform that actually understands the difference between creativity and copying.
Products are good quality and I like Printful much better than Printify. Support is responsive and usually helpful. Its easy to resolve issues within the order process due to good customer support. **HOWEVER**, if you are a legitimatbusiness with a tax ID/resale license, there are a few additional, IMPERITIVE, steps that Printful does not prompt you to set up, or inform you about before you ... Garbage, don't do the change I try to do ONLY when the garbage want to but not all the time! plain garbage! needs better developer to fix this thing I always have the same problem
No response from customer service on an embroidery issue for a week on a $540 order my client has already paid for. All case materials submitted according to instructions. Can't get a reply. "Norah C." "Jesse G." "Rita C." Unacceptable. This is exactly what you don't want to happen when dealing with a print on demand vedor like Printful or Printify. No help, no recourse, no customer service if you have a problem. -Joseph S.
This app is not as user friendly as other options available. It often crashes (error 500 Serverside Error). Trying to add inside neck labels is a ridiculously difficult task. You have to pay for the option so not really sure why it is that hard to utilise. The options in materials and branded products are handy but very very very expensive. Just use Vista Print. It is cheaper when using branded items (Addis, Under Armour). The options would be far more useful IF the Printful Shopify app worked correctly. Again, the errors are serverside, nothing to do with Shopify at all. My suggestion is to use Printify and try to find Canadian providers. It will be more expensive but it actually works, neck labeling is free and much easier to use.
Awful print jobs, long ship time and no customer service. They also have a very antiquated app where you cannot populate your images to multiple products, you have to do it manually one by one. If you hit "back" it will take you completely out of the app and you will have to start over again and again. They also don't even offer photographic prints or basic print products. But...I digress, this review is not about that.... This review is about quality. Quality is so important for customers and it Printful's quality is aboslutely AWFUL. On February 25th I ordered two 24x36 prints. I uploaded two images to be printed through Printful. I sent these two prints through with the Printful recommended color profile of sRGB IEC61966-2.1 to ensure colors were true in my proofing viewer compared to expected print results. However, instead of printing closely to the colors provided, when the prints were finally delivered on March 6, both printed nothing like the images submitted. They are dark, muted and cool in tone compared to the print file especially in areas of green/yellow and shadows were darker as well SEE BELOW. I immediately notified Printful via their report a problem feature on March 6 attaching images of the original file and the resulting print. I followed up 24 hours later. On March 7 Printful replied, stating he saw the issue, confirmed I submitted them correctly and would see what the graphics team recommended. I waited two days and they did not follow up although I did inform them this was a time sensitive matter especially given how long it took them to send the original prints, especially when we have customers waiting. I followed up on March 9. I was ignored. I followed up again on March 11 and I was ignored. I followed up again on March 12 and asked for a refund. I was ignored. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and sent that to them on March 13 and asked for a refund. I was ignored. This company offers PRINTS--most of the time we never see what our customer gets. In this case, I did....and it's absolutely AWFUL. PRINTFUL AGREED. Then they just decided to NEVER RESPOND TO ME AGAIN and KEEP MY MONEY. Ignoring the impact that it had on me and my business. Disgusting. They falsely advertised a product, provided specific printing requirements for that product, failed to deliver the product as ordered, acknowledged they erred, ignored me for days and refused to refund the product. Do not use PRINTFUL unless you want awful prints, upset customers and no way to fix the problem because there will be no customer service.
On Chrome I can't load the site. The overlay for a modal window has greyed out the site and I can't click anything.
Péssimo! Eles oferecem o plano grow sem mensalidade como teste, mas cancelei muito antes do prazo final, semanas atrás, e ainda assim fui cobrado. É lamentável. Essa empresa não é séria. its now saying one of my products is discontinued and there is no method of changing or altering it. most of the links dont work and individual products keep breaking. who build this back end?
They are to big. Support picks up just fine but if you have an issue it turns over to email which as they said "Quick Reply... 24 - 48 Hours". So if an issue need back and forth response it turns into days. Meanwhile your customer is waiting and sometimes you have to cancel. Not good for business. Meanwhile your kinda stuck.
I linked my store with Printful and now I can't gain acesss to the Printful account... I'm logged into Shopify and see all my Pintful products however when I try to edit them on Printful it redirects me to a Printful login page.. When I login using my Shopify email I'm met with an empty account with no stores and products... when I try to link this to my Shopify it tells me to download the app via Shopify's Admin.,.. which I already did. Hence why I already have products... Nowhere on Shopify will it tell me the login info for my Prinful.
Su nueva herramienta para Mockups generados por IA no funciona. La utilizo para los Hoodies All-Over Print y la imagen generada es igual a la del modelo que se escoge como referencia a pesar de que especifico un color diferente de cabello y el fondo de una ciudad.
I synced an item to my store during one of their promotions, well within the right time frame. I reached out via chat because I hadn’t received the discount code I should have. Despite the promotion still being active, they took 2 days to respond. When they finally replied, they falsely claimed my product wasn’t synced until that day, which is simply untrue. I can prove it from the chat transcript showing when I first contacted them. It feels like they purposely avoided honoring the promotion and providing the discount code, which is incredibly disappointing. Would not recommend this service based on such dishonesty.
Customer service is absolutely frustrating and non-helpful at all when you really need help with trying to disconnect an old, inactive store without any orders or payment info stored and connect a new one. I haven't had such a frustrating process with customer 'support' for a long time and it's still not fixed.
Uninstalled the app and now the currency in my store is Japanese Yen! This is a disaster.
I don’t understand it yet I’ll give a better review when I better understand it
Considering that Printful is the top POD and the longest in the industry as far as I know, based in the US, I thought I'd give them a try. However, using their app has been unnecessarily stressful, and trying to ask for help has been even more stressful. No wonder I see most people prefer to go to Reddit for their questions instead of asking the creators of the app. When I encounter issues with other apps, even if they are free or low-cost, the support teams always go above and beyond to solve the issue. They provide assistance through screenshots, video sharing, and even access to the website backend to fix the problem. It’s easy to see how passionate they are about their app. However, my experience with Printful has been different, leading me to distrust their service for selling high-value products to customers. Despite explaining which product type I’m working on and providing screenshots, their responses often seem off the mark. For instance, I had a question about t-shirt mockups being blurry and whether this would reflect on the physical product. I provided a screenshot, but the response I received made me think I was talking to a chatbot: "It seems you have sent the wrong file," despite me clarifying that it was indeed my design. Imagine thinking your design is an error just because it's not “common.” I also spent hours trying to get their canvas sizes right and ensure they bleed properly by editing images with the mockups I downloaded from their website to mirror edges. I did this for each size in their mockups for the canvas, but still had issues with each size image sticking to its respective size variant and not overlaying on the other sizes. After providing screenshots as usual, I got a response hours later asking, "Tell me what's the name of the t-shirt you're working on so I can see what’s the issue." This is frustrating, to say the least. Our time should be taken seriously. I also had to install another paid app just to combine different products that are relevant so I don’t have to create multiple listings for the same product, like framed canvas and canvas. This has been incredibly frustrating, and after spending days trying to configure things without adequate guidance, not a single product has been pushed to my store because their system doesn’t work properly and their agents seem indifferent. LMAO even their responses to reviews on the shopify store is "indifferent," just take a read. This reflects their customer service as well. Update: Changed to 1 star, still no one is helping. They provide vague instructions telling you to download their size mockup guide for each canvas size to resize your design to each specific size. Yet they don't have the option to apply a separate image for each size, making their mockups useless, which makes mirroring edges impossible unless each product is just applied to one size. Separate file images/sizes should be allowed to be added to each size, we are not customers buying 1 size for ourselves but we are a dropshipping print on demand, their service and tools have yet to reflect that. Not sure where all the high ratings are coming from.
My orders aren't going through to be fulfilled
app works good but quality of printed shirts is really bad I bought multiple shirts for my business and all of them are peeling off!
