Horrible experience. Promised the moon during onboarding. Specifically asked for charge frequency to make sure we had the funds in our ads budget. We were told there would be an initial $25 charge, a charge 7 days in based on usage at $200 a day, and then 1 month later for $200 a day. At launch, something happened and over 200k images on our site were removed (I do not believe this was related to NIFT although that was alluded to as a possibility on a couple of shopify help chats). We immediately dropped our bids and emailed Matt at Nift to make sure we did not waste ad spend. He then chose to pause the account, not communicating this would trigger a charge. $175 came out of our account in the middle of us fixing the image issue. We were told that happened because it was paused (his decision). A few days later when the image issues were resolved we verified again the charge frequency moving forward, as the $175 was a surprise. We were told that we would not be charged again for 1 week as everything was restarting, and then we would be charged again one month later. A few hours after the account was turned back on, we received an email that they attempted another $68 charge that was declined so our account was on hold (we did not have money transferred to this account for this very reason). Emailed asking why another unauthorized payment was attempted. Received no response. 2 days later after emailing again we were told that they didn't know why it was charged, but they couldnt turn the account back on again without payment. I transferred the money and told them it would take a couple of days to arrive to that account due to the weekend holiday, but that we were getting frustrated by the charges outside of the schedule. Receive an email back that they wanted to know why it declined and if we were going to be able to pay them. Told them they had agreed to the schedule and moving forward they were not authorized to charge outside of that schedule. Matt then emailed that they would be requiring us to pay weekly instead of the established schedule. A side note - their shopify app does not transfer lead/contact information unless a purchase is made. You will need an external marketing source to connect to in order to get this data. An inconvenience thats easily overcome, but one that should be communicated as well, which was not.

Not happy with these guys wasting my time - I don't often agree to sales calls unless it seems super promising as my time is very limited and it's difficult to coordinate with the time zone I'm in. However I was genuinely interested in trying out the product and had a good chat with Juan from their sales team; he then got to a question about our margins to which I gave a rough estimate though said I needed to check after the call and verify, he said that might be tight but he'll send over a worksheet and some more info and we can verify together if it would be a good fit. Radio silence after the call so I followed up via email a few days later prompting them to send what was promised, and to date 8 days later they've decided to disregard me altogether and not respond at all. Really annoyed about having my time wasted like this and not even the courtesy to respond. I hope you'll take this on board to improve your process with this next time as likely this could have worked out if you took the time to let me verify and confirm what our margin would actually look like for this.

We use the Nift app solely for attribution purposes for our Nift advertising account. I will say that attribution has been 95% accurate. Really happy with my experience here. It's not our biggest advertising channel, but it makes a noticable impact on our revenues. Also for anyone curious, Nift does not share customer information or access your customer lists in any weird way. I doubt they'd be in business if they did that. 10/10!

I installed this app for a total of 10 minutes to test the capabilities. It stole my customers' information and is now spamming them with unsolicited gift cards. This is not supposed to be happening and I am disappointed and angry and want their information removed immediately.

I added the app September 2020 but have been using gonift for almost 1 year (October 2019). Business to business customer referral marketing has been our most cost effective method for acquiring targeted new customers. The app is currently FREE so it's a no brainer to at least try, you will not be disappointed.
