Meta will tell you that you have to speak to Shopify for any issues with their app. Complete joke and waste of time.

Most of our products are for local markets but the app only sync those assigned to ALL markets and I understand this is how it works and not something in the setup. In such case the app is almost useless for us since the ALL MARKETS items are a fraction of the un-synced local ones. For someone with only one market or shops to all markets, this app may be fine. Otherwise, may be not!

TERRIBLE experience. The app won't let me connect my pixel, and support has been no help at all — they just told me to contact Shopify, which is ridiculous considering it's their app and their pixel. I'm stuck with no fix, and no one is taking responsibility.

Useless in Portugal wont work with the shop or activate useless

Works 25% of the time, God forbid you try to update the app or unninstall it, it completly breaks. For such a big company like Meta to put out such a shitty product, it's insane. Afterall Meta is not reknown for it's qulaity prowess.

Very bad App, it didn't work properly and it wasted my lots of time and money. This is no. 1 App to waste your time and money. And Facebook doesn't refund your Ads money which didn't give you any results due to pixel not working properly.

WOh Amazing App

I’m facing an issue with the Facebook & Instagram application. I recently noticed that after installing it, there is no option to reconnect an existing catalog. The app automatically creates a new catalog instead. Please add an option to connect or assign an existing catalog during setup. This feature is essential for those who already have a catalog set up.

We've been using the Facebook & Instagram app by Meta on our Shopify store to connect our product catalog with social media, and overall, the experience has been mixed. The integration between Shopify and Meta platforms is seamless once set up correctly. Our product catalog syncs automatically, making it easy to tag products on Instagram and Facebook, which has helped boost product visibility. The built-in connection with the Meta Pixel also allows us to track customer behaviour and run retargeting ads effectively. However, the initial setup process is not beginner-friendly. It involves multiple steps—from verifying the domain to linking the correct Business Manager, Catalog, and Ad Account—and can be frustrating if you're not familiar with Meta’s backend systems. Approval for Instagram Shopping took longer than expected and lacked clear feedback. Support through the app is limited, and most issues require navigating Facebook Business Manager, which isn't always intuitive. Despite the challenges, the app is a powerful tool for selling across Meta’s platforms once everything is connected properly. For small business owners or new users, there’s a learning curve, but it’s worth the effort. We’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

i haven't received any sales since i installed this app

not bad, bit hard to follow whats going on and whats needed to set up- bit confusing

terribel experience, could not even see the app on page or install it. tried everything possible. to having to spend extra money to find someone to code it into shopify.
