I'm pretty happy with the app. I like that it let's me specify the keywords I want a product to rank for and that it "reads" text on images -- this is the only app I've found that does both of those. I end up tweaking the alt-text on maybe one-third of the images, but two-thirds are good as is. And on the third that I tweak, the suggested text is a very good starting point and the edit process is simple and takes just one click to submit -- unlike some of the other apps.

Great Little tool - literally 5 mins to do all my product image alt texts. Coming up with something unique for 200 different lumps of wood is a challenge ! Also reasonably priced and helpful support!

I can see the time savings, but a few things are wonky with the app. First, there is no way to adjust the "temperature" of the AI to tune the accuracy of the descriptions. I've had some wildly inaccurate descriptions on images and it requires me to proofread each one, which doesn't help me with saving time. Also, once I find a bad description, there is no easy way to edit it. I have to open up the product by clicking the link, locate the image, click the image, and rewrite the description before saving it. I would much prefer a quick way to tag descriptions that need to be rewritten and have the app redo it. Also, the bulk option to only edit products with a specific vendor name does not work. I put a vendor in there and it modified a bunch of different vendors.

This app is a massive time-saver for our web team. It accurately automates what used to be an absolute time-suck. If I could improve it, I would love to see the ability to customize the output parameters so that the alt text includes specific keywords or phrases.

You can tell by how they responded to my review with accusations that they are not a professional company. No apologies just accusations. Alts were super long or just really bad. Alts sound like a computer wrote it. Some items were not populated at all and the costumer service had no answer for all these mistakes. I tried to communicate with them so basically after this mess the costumer service said "maybe this app is not for your store". I sell products how this app not for my store? Basically most of my ALT's are a mess and they just gave up. Now the claim I was abusive? It’s a lie I have all the emails sent. I’ll gladly show them to anyone. This app should not be offered on shopify and is definitely not made for Shopify. I only received my refund because I had to report them to Shopify. Unless you want all your Alts to be a mess don’t use this app. I switched to a much better competition and I’m so happy although I had to pay to fix all these mistakes. It was a horrible experience. I have tried so hard to keep up with adding AltText to my images once I realised the importance of them but I have struggled to write ones that are SEO friendly. This app has saved me so much time and gets the description correct 98% of the time. I recommend reading the text to make sure it makes sense and correctly represents the picture. I have only had to adjust a few which has saved me so much time. I recommend reviewing the settings before creating your first AltText so you don't accidently use all your first 25 credits on one product that has multiple photos. Once I got the settings how I need them, I was able to generate text for the photos I needed. This app saves so much time and relieves the pressure of trying to write the photo descriptions. I also love that I can then copy the text either from shopify or my AltText dashboard and then use it on social media sites that allow AltText. Highly recommend this app. I currently buy credits as needed as I only have a few new products to upload but once I get more, I will be upgrading to a yearly package.

The good: Does what it says on the tin. The AI was pretty good and it should help with SEO. Support was responsive, although a little scripted at times, but helpful and genuinely wanted to make things work. The bad: It's a new app and seems like it needs some more input to be a great app. With a bigger catalog t's impossible to know how many images you have and hence how many credits you need. Credit pricing is inflexible if you have more than 2000 images. The model doesn't really work for numbers over that. Seems to have the odd bug but works if you run one update at a time. Summary: I really wanted to like this more that I did and use it on my store. Unfortunately, it just does not fit the needs of the customer if they are over a certain size and the app itself does not provide feedback and information on numbers, pricing, credits left and more. I think with work it could be a great app but just isn't there yet.
