You choose which product variants are eligible and cap the samples per send, the friends one order can reach, and the sample orders your store creates each month. Every send becomes an ordinary Shopify order at zero value, tagged and linked to the purchase that earned it, so fulfilment, inventory and reporting carry on unchanged. You ship the sample; the recipient pays nothing.
