We have been using the Metafields2 app for years and it has made it easy to provide product information among other things on our website. The support we have been given has been excellent. Joe is great and knows what he is doing. He is prompt with replies and always ready to help.

It doesn't work. You delete the metafields but they are not deleted in shopify... what a waste of time

I tried a few Metafields apps, starting with the cheapest and working my way up...I've now been using this app off and on for a few weeks and, while its output format isn't the best (one row per product per metafield, rather than columns), it's perfectly workable for someone with Excel skills and I find it rather good! Apart from the bulk export and import facilities (more of that in a minute), the display of information is good and clear. You can select product, collections, whatever else Metafields, to keep things tidy and when you list a single product or collection, or whatever, you're met with a full list of the Metafields applicable to 'whatever you're looking at', along with values. Any or all may be updated on that page, with one 'Save' button. New Metafields may also be entered here (and which then apply to all of that genre -products, collections, etc.). You can also perform a search so you quickly arrive where you want to be. Simple, intuitive, comprehensive. The only problem....is that although the app exports a nice csv file, which may be read by Excel and worked on within Excel - the export from Excel (in UTF-8 format, then opened and saved by Notepad in UTF-8 format, to ensure the file *really is* in UTF-8 format, as Excel doesn't do a good job with that) - cannot then be imported back into Metafields2, as there are some 'dodgy' characters hiding there at the beginning of the file. However...with help from Joe and some experimentation, I've found it's possible to do all the above, working in Excel to do the 'bulk of the job', then open the exported csv file in Google Sheets - and then just save it. This results in a perfectly serviceable, *proper*, UTF-8 file that can be imported back into Metafields2. Maybe a long winded review, but if it helps anyone with similar problems in the future...I think the app deserves it. It's a good app.

Great app, well worth the subscription, it make extending functionality a snap! We're using it for product recommendations on both product pages and articles which took 30 minutes with a bit of jQuery. We ran into a bug with the app syncing and the team was quick to respond and resolved the issue promptly. Overall, we're very satisfied.

Metafields has been a staple addon for our business needs at AwesomeDrinks (as the demo video shows), it gives us the ability to build information for product video's, allows us to write general tweaks/scripts around product "variables" within specific products, list product ingredients without having to manage them in the "Description" of the product and product dimensions. This then allows us to move them around the template without having to be restricted to wherever the theme designer stuffed the text descriptions. Metafields basically gives me the power to do what I want to make my business look better, act better, and convert more sales because of those benefits.

We use metafields extensively in our theme. This app makes it easy and convenient to manage that data. For example, we use metafield data to communicate lead times for out-of-stock products. Other uses might be country of origin, or special handling instructions, or a quote from a happy customer. If you need to go beyond the basics, this app is highly recommended. Been using it since 1.0 very happily.

The Gift A Feast website would not be possible without the Metafields app! We need to be able to detail contents of our gift baskets and introduce customers to our artisan producers and metafields have been the solution.

The app works great, great improvements in usability over the previous version. For anyone wanting to take shopify to the next level this is a must have app. I use it to store meta data allowing custom made functions to call this data giving me the flexibility to make anything happen in shopify. We all know that limitations with shopify which make it great for anyone starting a store but for the people who want to make a more robust experience metafields2 pretty makes shopify limited only by your imagination.
