A Shopify refund takes points back from the same rules that gave them, never more than that order earned. Balances are recounted from the whole history, never nudged up and down. Shoppers see their points on your shop and on a rewards page in their account; you style both from one screen. Points expiry is off by default, with a 12-month minimum.
