Qualifying items merge into one discounted line with the name you chose, while the components stay on the order underneath, so refunds, picking and reporting still work on the real products. The saving is built into that line rather than applied as a code, so it uses none of your 25 discount slots. And you can see what a customer would pay before anyone can buy it.

Customers earn points on paid orders and spend them on rewards you set the value of. Each one becomes a single-use discount code to enter at checkout. A Shopify refund takes points back from the same rules that gave them, never more than that order earned. Balances are recounted from the whole history, never nudged up and down. Shoppers see their points on your shop and on a rewards page in their account; you style both from one screen. Points expiry is off by default, with a 12-month minimum.
