WAGNER ® TATTOO SUPPLY

Aug 27, 2024  on Shopify

Overall, it's great that such an app exists and that it's free, but it has some major issues... 1. Words in image URLs shouldn't be separated by "", but by "-". Google treats "" as if it doesn’t exist. For example, an image with the link "super-tattoo" is interpreted by Google as "super tattoo", but an image with the link "super_tattoo" is interpreted as "supertattoo". This is easy to fix, but very important. 2. The app leaves capital letters in image URLs, which is also a downside. It would be better if the image URLs were in lowercase. 3. Now, I'll move on to a huge flaw that will cause most sellers not to use the module, or if they do, it will harm them: The app modifies ALL images without giving me the option to choose which images I want to optimize. There should be an option, for example, to select specific collections or types of images that we want to optimize. 4. The fourth minor flaw is that the app is not described accurately, and I'm afraid to use two buttons because I don't know what will happen. 5. The last issue is that the app automatically changes image URLs without my prior analysis and approval, which alters the link structure. These links might be indexed by Google before I have a chance to fix them manually (and they need fixing because of the issues mentioned above). 6. The sixth flaw is that after changing the image URLs, the app does not create 301 redirects to the new images. This can easily harm your search engine rankings.
