Freshly seemed to offer exactly what we needed, batch-level inventory tracking for perishable goods, and initially, their team was responsive and open to feature ideas. Unfortunately, our experience turned into a major setback. During our first import, the app created over 50,000 duplicate batch records for a single product because that product had Shopify’s “Continue selling when out of stock” setting enabled by mistake. A professional-grade app should have validated this condition or stopped the loop automatically. Instead, it flooded our account with useless records and made the app unusable. When we reached out for help and requested a backend purge (since manual deletion was impossible), support stopped replying completely. After uninstalling and reinstalling, the bad data was gone, but we also lost our trial access, and they never responded to our follow-up emails asking to reinstate it. It’s a pity because this app could have easily been a 5-star solution if it were more robust and supported properly. The concept is great, but the implementation and customer service make it risky for production use.

My team has nothing but complaints about this app; we need to meet with the developers or the founder to get to the bottom of our issues.

This is a nice tool if you have products with an expiry date. The automatic emails when stuff expires come in handy!

Exceptional service. Our business is working with the regulated products, which requires to track inventory by Batch numbers and Freshly Batch Inventory is the great app to do that. The initial setup was really quick and smooth. Additionally, the team there is great and helped me throughout the entire process. They even helped me to setup the packing slip which includes all the required information about the product. Excellent!

I hadn’t personally used the app myself, so I wasn’t sure if this feedback was accurate. Last week, I decided to explore the App and was initially set on removing it. After thoroughly exploring its features, instructions, and various options available for customizing our store, I came to a surprising conclusion: this App is perfect for expiration date management. Freshly enables full automation of one of the most critical processes in inventory management, saving us significant time and effort. During my personal setup, I had a few questions and reached out to support. Each time, I received responses within two hours. While some responses were brief, with links for further reading, I appreciated the comprehensiveness of the information provided in their resources. After testing all features, I realized I needed additional theme code adjustments, and Freshly support team went above and beyond to accommodate my requirements. For two days, they worked diligently to implement custom adjustments that weren’t initially included in the app’s capabilities, meeting all my expectations by the end. Overall, I am genuinely impressed by Freshly and its support team. Their dedication to customer satisfaction, coupled with the app’s robust functionality, has left me thoroughly satisfied.
