This was a massive help for a product we crowdsourced. Easy to integrate, and we were in communication with their team throughout the implementation. I would highly recommend it. I’ve used Kickstarter and have also run crowdfunding directly through Shopify—Downpay made that possible and allowed us to fully own the campaign internally.

This is an excellent product that allows our store to take deposits for items not yet released which is extremely commonplace in our industry. Our industry is driven largely by preorders (and FOMO) and Shopify does not provide this functionality natively so we are very thankful that Downpay exists.

Downpay solved a critical pain point for our high ticket item sales which has caused a lot of headaches and manual work for our operations team having to email and in some cases call each and every customer in order to get their draft order invoice paid to complete their order. Now with Downpay we can simply vault their card information while communicating when they will be charged their second half balance on their large order, then charge their card when their order is ready in 3 months rather than having to create multiple different orders to complete a single order. Amazing app. I have such a custom, high end product that I desperately needed something like this for many years. When Downpay became an option, I couldn't believe it. I've used it for the better part of a year now and it has done great - lifting our online conversion rate and making it less of a gap to get the customer engaged with the purchase. Down pay App achieved exactly what we needed it to, which was a deposit on future inventory (we kept selling out). By using Downpay we were able to mitigate inventory risks and increase PO's after gauging demand. UI is buttoned up. After the customer initiates the deposit, their system makes it simple to charge the remaining amount from the 'Customers' tab. Support team was awesome to work with. Overall great experience, surprised more people aren't using it.

Works well, documentation is very good, and customer support is even better! Despite warning me it could be up to 2 days to hear back, I got an answer within 15 minutes and Ian walked me everything thing I had questions about and even did some adjustments based on our specific needs. Couldn't recommend more!
