I'm writing to share some feedback regarding the new Shopify Collective system. While we've started to receive orders for our newly listed items from other stores, there are a few areas that could be improved. First, I believe the onboarding and explanation for new users of the Collective could be clearer. We've noticed that many shops we've invited are hesitant to join, suggesting that a better explanation of the benefits and functionality of the Collective would be helpful. Second, the current import process for items from other stores is challenging. All imported items are dumped into one large pile, rather than being organized by the collections they belong to in the original shop. This creates a significant amount of manual work for store owners, as we have to sort through hundreds of items to categorize them. It would be much more efficient if items were imported directly into their respective collections. Improved organization during the import process would greatly benefit store owners and enhance the overall user experience.
