Great customer support! They helped me with getting some theme issues worked out. This was the only app I could find that displayed the color swatches on product pages the way I wanted with a strike through for out of stock colors plus linking automatically to Shopify variant images. Great app.

The app works well for visual variant splitting on collection pages, and the support team is responsive and genuinely trying to improve the product. That said, it’s important to highlight a structural limitation. Variant Split is purely visual. Shopify filters operate at product level, not variant level, so when a product matches a filter via one variant, the app still renders all variant tiles unless Variant Split is disabled. The team is actively working on a workaround (disabling Variant Split when filters are applied), which helps prevent incorrect filtering results. However, this also leads to an inconsistent UX, as the collection grid behaves differently with and without filters, and the filtered color is not always visually reflected. To be fair, the team does make an effort to develop and improve the app, but progress can be quite slow. I’ve been facing this issue for several days, and it’s still not fully resolved. Overall, the app is useful for basic variant visualization, but it’s not ideal for stores that require strict, color-accurate filtering on collection pages.

Edit: Regarding their reply below → The NS team reached out a month later on Thanksgiving weekend. I removed another star from my rating because this is poor timing regardless of the circumstance. It's also somewhat suspicious timing since most stores are either on vacation or slammed with BFCM.

This app makes it very easy to manage and clearly display variant images, which is extremely important for an eyewear store like ours. At first, I had some mapping issues where images did not match correctly, but the support team was incredibly responsive and helped solve everything quickly. So far so good. I had one problem where I couldn't figure out how to make a variant show up on the selectable list of items within the app (because I had altered variant name within product page), and they got back to my chat inquiry within minutes and helped me fix it quick. It was just me forgetting a pretty basic step, but it was nice to have the responsiveness. I'm pretty inexperienced and running the free version only for now, but will consider the paid version if my needs expand.

It lets me easily add custom product options and variants, which makes my store look more professional and gives shoppers a smooth buying experience. On top of that, their after-sales support is excellent, quick, reliable, and always ready to help whenever we need it.
