AddressWise checks shipping addresses at checkout and again after the order is placed. Checkout blocks obviously invalid addresses like PO boxes, emoji, or empty fields. Afterward, subtler problems such as a missing house number or a mismatched postal code are flagged, and the order is held automatically. The customer gets an email with a link to review and correct their own address. Once corrected, the hold releases automatically with no manual work for the merchant.
