TERRIBLE - This is the last email i send them for support Hello, I am really getting fed up with this sub par service that works 1/4 of the time, If that! I have one simple shipping rule that allows free shipping to united states only and calculated shipping for the rest of the world. So far 7 out of my last ten orders with free shipping for the shipping group all charged my customers shipping. Then there is the abandoned cart. witch totaled $26,744 last month alone! now i am not saying all of that is because of shipping prices being inaccurate but i would say being fair i would say at the very least i would blame 1/4 of that due to customers not getting free shipping upon checkout. Then dare i say it, Customer service. Spend $50.00 a month on the "Basic" Package that only works when it wants to and only get email support. Getting phone support from Shipper HQ is like trying to hit the lottery, Never going to happen. Please Fix this terrible platform Sincerely Your hard working small business owner customer

Overly complex, help articles are basic and not always up to date - I have a really hard time with ShipperHQ. I have been using it for a couple of years now, after I paid ShipperHQ to help with the initial set up. Of course, since then we've change carriers a few times, and other things have changed as the business grows. Although I don't think my rules/logic are particularly complex (I can easily list them in no more than 10 bullets), making SHQ do what I need is a total crap-shot. New it's live, all changes are done in production, as there's no way to preview a scenario, without spinning up an Incognito session, and cycling through all the scenarios to make sure nothing was broken. This makes for a very nervous time, bearing in mind its incredibly easy to either cripple or entirely break checkout with a rule that's not working as expected. I do know that the problem with powerful tools is that they tend to be complex, but you at least hope that if your requirements are simple, then you only really need to scratch the surface of the features to get things working; that doesn't seem to be the case with SHQ. The lack of updates to the help articles (out of date screenshots, some functionality not covered at all) indicated either a small team, or a product that's not really being actively developed.

Shipper HQ for Live Animal Shipping - Thank you SHIPPER HQ - you gave me the tools to take this complicated mess of shipping we have and make it work like a dream!! I have complicated shipping - some of our products are more sensitive & can only ship with UPS Next Day Air or FEDEX Priority overnight. While other products can ship with USPS Priority - 2 -3 day. We also offer FREE ship packs and additional items can be added to the box for free shipping. We also ship to 3 unique zones in the United States. Many many years ago before Shipper HQ was offered, I had a developer manipulate the BigCommerce platform to accommodate my shipping rules - approx once a month my shipping had issues. I could not upgrade to a Stencil theme & was required to pay for every change and fix which was needed to keep them working. I have been using Shipper HQ for almost 2 years and have had ZERO issues and have not needed to make any changes since it was originally set up. Shipper HQ allows me to set these product specific rules - not only by product by also by destination as well - broken down into 3 unique shipping zones. I conquered Shipper HQ by having a sandbox acct set up in BigCommerce and then spending all day playing with the rules on 1 option until I understood exactly the parameters of what the App can do - and it is by far the most flexible shipping software I have ever used. After I had all of my options laid out on the sandbox acct - I got up at 4am and copied the setting to my main store and turned it on - we switched to the stencil theme a few days later and have been ranking better and better thanks to the Mobile friendly stencil site and AMP pages we are now able to use. The staff at Shipper HQ are the best EVER - talk to Quinton - he will get you all set up and help you work through questions you may have as you work through the process. BTW - I did not hire their Done for You Services. It is doable for a normal - non Techie, like me. Christina

One of the top hardest app to set up ever - I have been using many many apps during the years, I would say ShipperHQ is the most hard APP to use Sometimes just for a simple rule that limit certain products total ship amount to certain countries, you might need spend 10 hours and try all different kind of filter, rule or set up inside the carrier table rates and you still can't make it. The limitation on total price or total quantity sounds like never working. I can set up my own database for my whole team, I can zaiper all different apps together, but I can't handle ShipperHQ. The support document was written so simply and looks like the developer never seriously tried to set up a real working rule after they finished their programming. The whole idea of the combined set up is so complicated and it's very easy for you miss one point in some hidden place and you will never make your shipping rule work. If you don't know a real professional to help you understand or follow up the developers idea, I strongly recommend you forget about this app

Expensive for startups/small businesses - I need this product to enable me to restrict shipping on certain products, but also allow collection, & free local delivery. Currently on the 30 day trial but concerned at the extortionate cost of £40 a month for the most basic of plans. I don't use live shipping nor most of the features so its a concern that they don't offer a pricing plan based on what your actually using! Will probably be moving my whole store to a new platform due to the cost associated with shipping rules for BC.

Not simple to setup - Free Support - We wanted to display an expected delivery date to our customers and this is the only app which allows you to do this. We actually wanted to use the "select a date" option but understand this is not available in the BC version due to BC coding. While Shipper HQ seems pretty easy to setup, the option we wanted simply did not work. All was setup correctly within Shipper HQ, checked and double checked. However, when testing on site, it simply states "Cannot deliver to your location" despite the location being within the setting we have entered within Shipper HQ. After leaving a negative review, we were contacted by their support team. Despite the banners everywhere stating support "starts at $500" apparently this is not true. Shipper HQ support have been instrumental in getting this issue sorted but it has taken nearly 2 weeks. Out of the box it is not, so be prepared to spend time with this despite how it seems to begin with. In the end, we got what we wanted, allbeit an expensive way of doing it. I can't give ShipperHQ 5 stars because of the setup issues and lack of clear/updated instruction in the help section. But it does what it says it will do, eventually, so if you have time to spend with this then go for it.

Plan on having to upgrade plans to fix bugs - It seemed robust enough at first, but ShipperHQ is not well integrated with USPS API's so their system gives customers the options to select lower cost options/smaller boxes than are actually available - so you either have to lose money on shipping or pay a lot more for an upgraded plan to fix their bugs yourself. Another place it falls short is if the product has size options that change the package size in actuality, there is no way for ShipperHQ to adjust this. It is a decent app, with friendly customer service (though it is sometimes hard to get them to respond), but the only solution to their bugs seems to be paying them more which is simply not acceptable business practice.

Rules & Groups - Although a bit confusing to set up at first, it is a breeze when you have Quentin stepping you through the first time changes need to be made. We use multiple customer groups so rules can get tricky at times. Great customer service team!

Shipping UPS to Canada - I find ShipperHQ a little confusing trying to set up and make changes. I contacted support for their help. Quentin walked me through everything and took it upon himself to make the necessary changes we needed.

Expensive but very helpful. - We've been in a constant battle trying to keep our shipping pricing up to date and fair for our customers for a long, long time. ShipperHQ takes away a ton of that time and effort spent and allows us to put that time to greater use. The only downside is the monthly cost. The setup is fairly easy as well but requires a good amount of setup on the users end, however once it's set up you're ready to go for the foreseeable future.

Complicated but worth it in the end - Depending on your needs set up can be kind of complicated. I had some requirements that were easy to figure out but others were a little tougher. The Crew at ShipperHQ have been OUTSTANDING at helping guide me through what I needed the program to do for me. (My scenarios are probably more difficult then most shippers would require) If you do not fit into the basic Free shipping or Flat rate mold I would def. recommend giving them a try.

Frustrating for smaller business - Rates are exorbitant, service is poor, setting up is very complicated, instructions are incomplete. They are currently a monopoly and are gouging their customers.

Complicated but worth it - We sell craft supplies, glass jars from 1 oz to 200 lb range. Our website couldn't calculate the shipping correctly. we installed ShipperHQ and very happy with it. Our customers happy because they pay the correct shipping cost and we're happy to give them the service they deserve.

Excellent Product / Excellent Support - This product is a must have for any eCommerce store. Our main reason for using this app was so we could integrate FedEx Smartpost. We didn't realize all the other valuable tools it would bring to our business. The support staff is amazing and are all so knowledgeable. Always willing to do what it takes to assist you. It is a must have to run your business.
