Complicated and Costly - It is difficult to setup. We read the reviews and saw were people got great help, but it was just ok for us. More like point you in a direction, say things we didn't understand, and expect us to figure it out. We canceled this service after having it for a year. It cost so much if you need just an additional rule. The price jump is high.

Too Expensive, Inconvenient to Cancel - Necessary features require you to use the high-cost plans. To cancel, you have to email customer service and wait for them to manually cancel your plan. We did the free trial for only a couple hours, and our default shipping methods have all been disabled by the app and customers can't place orders until our trial is cancelled by customer service. Awful business practice, super inconvenient. I don't recommend this app unless cheaper alternatives don't work for your business.

Nickle and Dimed to death - The app itself works fine. A bit complicated and hard to get set up but works fine and that's why I gave it two stars instead of one. The big problem I have is to get anything working well you need to keep adding options for very basic shipping functions. Once you add these options the pricing goes through the roof. When we first started with Big Commerce there weren't many options that fit what we needed but there are much better ones out there now. To top it off I requested to cancel three months after my most recent annual payment but they refused to give any prorated refund....very disappointing. I'd suggest looking closely for other alternatives that do the same thing for much less and have much friendlier customer service.

Unresponsive at best - Our experience is that they just don't provide the support they promised. We had a database issue that needed resolving before moving forward. They assured us a 9 day turn around after that with the additional fee for their support. I have had to call & email to get support multiple times. No answer at 2:30pm their time on a Monday. When they do contact us they are polite but there is no follow through and I've been bounced around to different account support people despite being told I had an account manager. We are frustrated. You are better off not paying for support.

FRUSTRATING - I feel so frustrated with the team at Shipper HQ. I bought the higher-priced package because they claim to offer phone support but they don't. It's not all that complicated but they make it so to create rules, boxes, etc., but they make it so. I had to wait a week before my account manager actually got back to me on a major issue affecting my business. Instead of calling, they'll just send you a link but no follow through. You don't feel like you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, it's the only shipping app that can create special rules so I have to use them but if there was another option, I'd go with that.

Useless if you want to make sales in the Northern Ireland, very slow support, misleading informations - I decided to subscribe to ShipperHQ only because I was told by sales that it is possible to add Northern Ireland as separated region from the UK, but is not true, you can add NI as a one of the UK regions additionally with the Postcodes, so you won't be able to make any sales to the NI, the merchants from Ireland knows very well what I am talking about. I requested a solution from the support which is taking forever btw. and I guess got the answer without reading my message because I pointed out the problem and got in response exactly the way that I wrote I don't want to use.DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE NORTHERN IRELAND IS A PART OF THE UK MOST OF THE PEOPLE TREAT IT AS SEPARATE COUNTRY WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING, EVEN CARRIERS AS DPD OR FASTWAY HAVE ON DROPDOWN LIST NORTHERN IRELAND AS SEPARATE DESTINATION. LOCAL CARRIERS IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND OFFER SHIPPING TO THE WHOLE IRELAND 32 COUNTIES , ALSO AFTER BREXIT TRADING RULES FOR REMAINS SAME CO.1. Useless if you want to make sales in the Northern Ireland2. Overpriced3. Slow support4. Lack of knowledge

LTL Shipment feature is flawed!! - There is a major flaw with the way ShipperHQ has their "advanced feature" of LTL freight quotes set up. Anyone that ships on a pallet via freight truck knows that in order to get an accurate rate you have to add 50 pounds to every shipment to account for the pallet weight. ShipperHQ doesn't allow us to add pallet weight because it is considered an additional advanced feature which would force us have to upgrade our plan and pay double the amount each month.How can you count LTL shipping rates as our 1 advanced feature included with our plan, but not give us accurate rates because pallet weight can't be added in?? It is a part of shipping LTL! It makes no sense and I really think this is something that needs to be changed. We are paying you to provide accurate rates yet we still lose money frequently! It's wrong! The only "solution" I have come up with is to edit all 800 products on my website and add additional weight on each product. Doing this is not only extremely time consuming, but it still won't be 100% accurate. We may even end up accidentally overcharging our customers instead or losing sales if they don't want to pay the incorrect high shipping cost. Please forward this review to the higher ups because this is not right.

Forget about it! - I tried this app when it was first available for BigCommerce. I wasn't impressed at all. The of the major issues I had was validating my long standing UPS account. It refused to validate. In no way, shape or form would it validate. And yes, all of the information I entered was correct. Now, after several years, I decided to give it another try. Well, guess what? UPS still will not validate. Why is this still happening, after all these years? Shouldn't it be fixed by now? If the app can not validate a simple shipping account, how can I trust it to do anything else correctly? Just don't waste your time installing this app.

Plan on having to upgrade plans to fix bugs - It seemed robust enough at first, but ShipperHQ is not well integrated with USPS API's so their system gives customers the options to select lower cost options/smaller boxes than are actually available - so you either have to lose money on shipping or pay a lot more for an upgraded plan to fix their bugs yourself. Another place it falls short is if the product has size options that change the package size in actuality, there is no way for ShipperHQ to adjust this. It is a decent app, with friendly customer service (though it is sometimes hard to get them to respond), but the only solution to their bugs seems to be paying them more which is simply not acceptable business practice.

Frustrating for smaller business - Rates are exorbitant, service is poor, setting up is very complicated, instructions are incomplete. They are currently a monopoly and are gouging their customers.

Little, to no, support -

I installed ShipperHQ with the assumption that they would be more than willing to help set up. I contacted their support, and they told me to contact Big Commerce. I contacted Big Commerce, and they told me to contact ShipperHQ. After a couple of days, Big Commerce stepped up to the plate to help me out. I finally got it set up, but I am still having multiple issues. Very little support material. And, I really mean none. The support materials is very broad and not at all specific to what you are trying to figure out. If you ask ShipperHQ for support, they generally send you to their documentation, so don't expect a welcoming hand from them.
