What Happened Mailchimp? - It all started to go downhill after the last update. Features stopped working. Bigcommerce and Mailchimp can't answer why after hours of "It's not our fault", I give up :(

Automatically Unsubscribe + spam filter - We used to love mailchimp. It worked great and was reliable and ahead of the competition... no more. 4 time out of 5 you never get a good support tech person... no phone calls and bad software that automatically unsubscribe new and old customers plus issues with new audiences sending 90% of the emails in my newsletter to spam folder. keep blaming BC for the issue and viceversa... I am this close to move to shopify and to Constant Contact.

Automatically Unsubscribes - We have used MailChimp for years and they use to offer excellent support, fast and knowledgeable...not sure what happened but now it's pretty much below average at best. You cannot even speak to someone on the phone and are forced to use chat (lots of people in the queue) or email. We have a list of 180K and spend over $700 a month with them and cannot talk to phone support - it's a JOKE. The latest issue, which started who knows when automatically unsubscribes new customers and you're not able to send them campaign emails. After spending all morning "chatting" with support, I was told it's a known issue that their engineers are working on. The would or could not tell me when it started or when it could be resolved. Looking for a new solution.

Totally broken - What has been working perfectly for years has been totally broken in since December update. No data being transferred to Mailchimp, people unsubscribed automatically, no pop up. Support have been very unhelpful and blame BC. Time to move on?

Automatically unsubscribes people - I have been using this app since 2015, we have had some ups and downs but nothing that compares to mailchimp unsubscribing people. Everytime someone placed an order through our website Mailchimp would unsubscribe them. Which in turn costs us money on the loss of retargeting them to make a purchase. Support offered nothing to help resolve and seemed uninterested in helping resolve, or informing us when it was. I have moved on to another email provider. You should too.

Connecting Store - We have been using the app for a few years now, and everything was good until 3 weeks ago, when it crashed. Ever since, the app wont sync with the store and after contacting support on multiple occasions I have been told that I need to way. Surely 1 week would be more than enough to sync the data. During this time we have not been able to use the platform to its full potential.

Automatically unsubscribes people - The latest version of this plugin automatically unsubscribes people from my mailing list, even if they are legitimate subscribers. There's a serious problem, and support won't help me resolve it in a timely manner. It's not a priority to them. I had to uninstall the plugin and migrate my whole mailing list to a new platform, which is a serious PITA.

Still works with kinks - It seems like the integration method changes every few months but the app does work. My only complaint is every customer is added our Mailchimp Audience. This might be useful if you want to use mailchimp for transaction emails but we're only using it for our newsletter. I simply remove them because Mailchimp counts the "Non-subscribed" audience members towards the billing plan.

Works Great For Our Marketing - This App has been a work in progress over the years. Every few month's there seems to be a new addition or improvement. This is good because Mail Chimp is not monkeying around. They are actually keeping up with trends and modern marketing. I love their email marketing tools and they have served us well in our growth strategy. 5 Bananas for Mail Chimp!

No Support - The functionality looks awesome and the email builder looks good. However you get NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. No phone number, no chat, just an email that they never respond timely too. Also the notifications do not work with bigcommerce even though they are suppose too

Integration - Used to work, then out of know where it stopped and customer service is almost stagnate. You think they would easily define what version of API key you are using without deleting app and reinstalling. Looking for a new app for my email campaigns.

No customer support - I have heard of MailChimp in the past and wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no support. You can not call or email the company without buying a plan first. Once I purchased a plan the support was still not available. I have requested a refund and have not heard back in several days. Now going to dispute the charge on my credit card. Very poorly designed APP. Beware!!!

Integration no longer works. - I get an error when I try to verify the new API key. It seems that the app is outdated and no longer works with Mailchmip's new API keys. AS a result, my subscribers from the BigCommerce and Mailchimp cannot be synced.

MailChimp is great but no tracking in confirmations?! - I have been a long time MailChimp user and love the application but they have really missed it on not having tracking information in the shipping confirmation emails. I don't even know why you would have shipping confirmation emails without sending out the tracking number. Come on MailChimp, you can do better.

New MailChimp API 3.0 - Since the 1/Apr/2019 The old APP needs to be removed and installation initiated from MailChimp.If you are receiving error messages stating that you are not up-to-date, this is caused by the legacy integration still being connected. To resolve these error messages, you will want to go to your BigCommerce Dashboard and navigate to Marketing > Email Marketing, then disable the MailChimp integration from here. Hope this information helps!

Store no longer synching - As another customer has pointed out, Mailchimp has shut down API 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 meaning emails no longer sync and my customers, like myself, are getting pissed off.

Easy to use and free - Hard to complain about a free app. But I had to search very hard to find their contact support info since I'm on the free plan. Overall, its working though and I haven't paid a dime yet.

Mailchimp shut down API 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 - Mailchimp shut down API 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 and DIDN'T even bother to update THEIR own app for this change. No longer syncs.

Don't know what i'd do w/o Mailchimp - Mailchimp has been incredible. From creating emails campaigns, to newsletter sign-ups, and even abandon cart emails, there are so many features that Mailchimp provides that has helped my business grow, increase sales, and generate more revenue. Customer service has been helpful when I need it. The best part about Mailchimp is how easy it is to use and it syncs with your store automatically. Seriously, Mailchimp is one of the best resources to grow your business and increase sales.
