Every Feature You Need - The built-in BigCommerce shipping module is really limited - with no ability to properly apply markups, discounts, have complex rules like flat-rate shipping for a certain amount, two day shipping for another, and so on. ASM offers all of this in a very easy to use interface, with no additional frills, and the support is fantastic. We're using it now across three BigCommerce stores, and will certainly use it for our future stores as well.
Priced Right, Incredible Support, Saves Time, and Good Features - We are currently migrating a store to a BC Enterprise Store. We tried the free source and even upgraded to a higher standard plan. We found that for what we needed and the price we were paying was not of value and was going to be a lot of work on our side. This was after a month of trying to figure it out and hitting road blocks in my plan. I found out about ASM, signed up for the free trial and could not believe the difference. We are currently still in the Free Trial phase, but we are so far along in the setup phase that I feel that we will be fully integrated by the time we finish the trial phase. This is because the ASM support is so good. I give them the scenario and they put it together in there system allowing me to duplicate it for the future. That is how good the support has been. Now on to the Saves You Time. Once you have explained what you need and the scope of your business to them they help you set up Shipping Methods. This is where the work comes in, but once you have this set up the time saving comes in the fact that you can use a CSV sheet to update your products. That means if you have a big catalog, we have over 10000 products and variants, you can just upload the shipping methods instead of having to figure them per product in BigCommerce. That will save you hours. The Features that come standard are some that you would have to pay extra for and be limited on other plans. They do have other features that you can add on via a la cart, so you are not forced into a plan where you will not use all the features. I am finding through this trial some of the features I will need to add on. All in all I feel that the Value for the support and features lessen my stress and make it easier to pass along to another person on our staff once we have figured out the variables of the ASM system.

Terrific Features, Response Time, and Support - Northern Woodsmen started using ASM several years ago due their ability to handle a wide array of shipping configurations with amazing accuracy. We continue to add more complex scenarios and if we cannot quickly figure out how to set up the shipping method, ASM is always quick to respond with a solution. Implementation of the Delivery Date Estimator has all but eliminated pre-sales calls regarding stock levels and ship dates. Whether your shipping scenario calls for multi-item box configuration, multi-box items, Free shipping zones, LTL freight solutions or all of the above, ASM is the solution. It is a very flexible shipping solution with outstanding customer support. I highly recommend ASM for anyone looking for a shipping solution with great support, easy implementation, and powerful capabilities.
Handles Complex Scenarios & Priced Fair - We recently switched to ASM because of huge price increases to the previous service we were using. I wish we had just used ASM from the start since it solved complex scenarios thanks to their ingenious points system addon. I also love their product page shipping calculator and estimated delivery date addons. Those are a great user experience enhancement for our customers. The addon costs do start to add up, but even so it is still less than what we were paying for our previous service. Plus, they assured me they've only marginally raised prices when they need to, not doubling or tripling their monthly fees like our previous service. And as everyone else has already said, their service is top notch. While I like to figure things out on my own, I did send quite a few emails during our trial to get help solving our complex scenarios. I'd be surprised if there is something their functionality can't handle. I'd highly recommend giving them a shot with their free trial!
Amazing features and flexibility with awesome support! - We had ASM installed on our yahoo store back in 2010. I can't even tell you the number of times we sent them emails with the header "Question on Capability", only to find out, sure enough, that feature is already there. We had some tricky situations sometimes where modifications were needed, and they jumped right on it. One was where we sometimes needed shipping to be calculated out based on items shipping from one zip code, and items from another, and both following rules on Free Shipping over a certain dollar amount. And these were caluclated individually by location, and then added together and displayed as one total. And if one of the two shipments was going to be free-shipping, then the software would know that, and only charge shipping for the other warehouse. Yep. They got it done. Like any good team, they've had my back on many projects and customizations, even now after I've moved over from Yahoo to BC, they are still covering my backside and making things work. ASM itself is just simply magical. If you need some shipping magic done, it's in there, or can probably be added. Very repsonsive to emails and phone calls.
Great Customer Service, Features, and Ease of Use - We originally had ShipperHQ, but earlier this year they announced a large price increase! I switched to Advanced Shipping Manager and I wish that we had started with them from the beginning. The customer service has been excellent! I probably sent Burt 30 emails during my set up and he got back to me very quickly with solutions and walk throughs each time, no matter how dumb my questions were. Advanced Shipping Manager is easier to set up and make changes to your shipping rules than Shipper HQ. With Shipper HQ, I wouldn't try to make any changes to my shipping methods because it was so complicated and I didn't want to mess up what I already had set up. Advanced Shipping Manager is priced fairly and you get a lot with the basic package. If you need any additional features, you can buy them separately for a reasonable price. In addition to the base package, we added the "estimated delivery date" and "points" packages for $20/month each. If you do any flat rate shipping, I highly recommend the points package as it allows you to set up pricing/method by using points. For example, our Medium FedEx Flat Rate box can fit up to 600 cubic inches, so any items that are under 600 cubic inches and under 11x10x5 automatically trigger a flat rate option in the cart.I can't say enough good things about Advanced Shipping Manager, we are VERY pleased we made the switch.
ASM Great customer service - Our website sells multi package shipments and ASM solved it and Burt was amazing helping me get set up on Big Commerce website in a few minutes after getting all the box sizes entered it was fast and easy and works great. Having a live human to help makes things so much easier than spending hours reading through directions how to get things set up correctly. I recommend!

Advanced Shipping Manager handles these perfectly for us allowing the customer to only choose the correct / available shipping method for their order.

Very Good Service - We had a chronic shipping problem within big commerce. We had to choose an app to accomodate strategic shipping rules. The "other" app provider was not anywhere near as helpful as Dan was and I highly recommend using this APP. We are a medium size business and I know how tough it is to be "hands on" with customers but Dan emailed me day and night until he got our shipping right. Dont go elsewhere, you will probably regret it.

They get back to you quickly with any issues or questions, which is great. So far it's been able to handle everything we need. Excellent Shipping App - We were using ShipperHQ which is incredibly complex and difficult to use. We had to pay to have the app set up and when we needed to make changes. We finally decided to try another app and found Advanced Shipping Manager. We got it set up in about an hour with more complex shipping options than ShipperHQ! This app makes it easy to set up drop ship locations, shipping options/exclusions at the product level with a product lookup feature that I love! You can also set up shipping options for a whole group of products with a simple csv upload. The tech support is incredibly responsive. The connection is fast and rates are pulling quickly and accurately. This app is crazy good!
Everything a store could need at a great price! - We've used ASM for many years now on another platform and loved their features. When we decided to move to BC this year with three of our stores ASM walked us through the shipping setup transition in no time at all. Burt and Dan are my heroes - Burt and Dan are amazingly helpful. We had a huge error in getting the shipping rules to take effect. Burt was on the phone with me on and off for hours, helping me troubleshoot our CSV and shipping rules.
