What Merchants Think

Merchant feedback on "FraudLabs Pro" is mixed, with some users appreciating its fraud detection capabilities and affordability, while others criticize it for its limitations in detecting fraudulent activities and user interface issues. The app is seen as a helpful tool for those who take the time to customize its settings but not reliable as a standalone solution for fraud prevention.

Key Strengths

  • Effective in alerting users of potential fraudulent orders.
  • Affordability and good return on investment, particularly with the free package.
  • Ease of setup for users who familiarize themselves with its functionalities.
  • Free SMS validation credits for additional security measures.
  • Supports small businesses with simple fraud checking requirements.

Common Concerns

  • Complicated user interface, making navigation difficult.
  • Limitations in detecting certain fraud patterns, leading to missed fraudulent activities.
  • Inadequate support and poor communication from the customer service team.
  • Constrained user access, requiring high-level admin involvement for effective operation.
  • Documentation is considered subpar by some users, leading to confusion.

Final Thoughts

FraudLabs Pro is useful for merchants seeking a cost-effective fraud detection tool with customizable features. However, it requires significant configuration effort and may not suffice as a sole fraud prevention solution. Merchants in need of comprehensive fraud protection might need to consider additional tools to complement its functionality.

Requires some forethough - To truly take advantage of Fraudlabs you really need to figure out what parameters will best meet your needs for Fraud detection. After careful set up for our website it now rejects a few of the fraudulent orders which prompted us to install the software. There have been a few false positives that require manual approval but for the cost of $0 for the basic package it has paid for itself with the few rejected orders.
