Not Good Since Lightspeed Merger - ShopKeep was pretty good for the longest time, used it for all our retail needs and went with all their partner/recommended applications. However, since the Lightspeed merger within the last 2 years, it has been horrible! Everything from the actual application, pricing, back-office, and more importantly their customer service is no where near it was prior to the merger. Very frustrating as a customer for over 10 years! Customer service is one of the most important things in my opinion. I understand issues will always arise-nothing is perfect, but when you have people who 1) don't want or know how to help 2) don't even try to figure it out 3) always push you over to BigCommerce being the issue.....it's just not okay at ALL. Especially when I know the problem comes from their app, not BigCommerce. They offer no solution and always blame BigCommerce. I've seriously considered changing my POS, but need to plan that with time to make the change. It was great before Lightspeed, but I've had all sorts of major issues since then and NO solutions.

Updates create havoc - Everytime there is an update it sends my inventory into a spiral...multiple variants that can't be removed unless you rebuild the entire item from scratch. In my retail business this is the worst for time management and ease of use.

good integration - shopkeep is the only pos system designed to integrate with bigcommerce... unfortunately lightspeed bought them and terminated this. I will not switch to lightspeed as they desire me to do i have found a better pos system now. Shopkeep was destroyed by this buy out.

Inventory Never Correct - Inventory is ALWAYS incorrect and do not match up to what is in our POS. BigCommerce oversells products that are sold out in certain sizes literally daily. We have had to refund angry customers one too many times and no one seems to be able to help. BigCommerce does a great job of deflecting and blaming our POS. I wish they could fix this bug it has cost us THOUSANDS of dollars and countless mad customers.

Beware, this doesn't work - Buy Beware. This app does not work. After multiple attempts to get it to sync, I'll most likely dump both Shopkeep and Big Commerce for a better Omnichannel experience.

DO NOT GET IT. OUR WORST MISTAKE EVER! - IT ALMOST PUT OUR BUSINESS TO THE POINT OF CLOSING. THEIR SYSTEM IS OBSOLETE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BREAKS DOWN ALL THE TIME.

Sort of Works - We have been using the sync for several months now and have been using shopkeep for almost 3 years. I love the shopkeep app overall but the sync isn't great. It needs to be removed and reinstalled all the time and loses its connection. Also they made me sign a contract when upgrading to sync that includes a lot of of things I simply don't use. I thought I would do it because of the time saver with syncing. However, since we have an existing bigcommerce store we have to basically replace every single item with it's shopkeep equivalent so they can sync. We were also told by a "shopkeep expert" (job title) that it would 100% sync items we have in shopkeep as fractional amounts. But it does not. He had verified that it would sync all items fractional amounts would be rounded to the closest whole #. Which I thought was fine, but once we spent tons of hours doing our inventory we learned it in fact does not. They offered a small discount as compensation only because we have an email stating it would work. They would not let us out of the contract until I complained more and asked to talk to higher ups. Then someone else contacted me and they let us out of the contract and gave a greater discount. I really don't understand why they don't know how the product actually works . I think they are growing too fast and trying to do too much. But as most small businesses. I just need it to work and so far it does sometimes.

Works Great for us. - We've been using Shopkeep since 2017. This App works great. It interfaces with BigCommerce very well. Very few problems. Keeps our inventory in sync between Shopkeep and Bigcommerce. We used a different POS system before Shopkeep and it was horrible trying to keep up inventory from the website (Bigcommerce). We went looking for a new POS that would sync our inventory between the POS and Bigcommerce, and found it. We could not keep up with the web inventory without it. Love it, love it, love it.

So Great! - We had a little bit of a rough start when we started our integration. (There was a back end bug or something that was causing integration issues, if I remember correctly). After everything was fixed and sorted out, it was great. It tracks inventory for you as you sell (online or in store), but you can also manually update quantities. As far as adding products, once you add them via the app, it only takes about 1-2 times of going through and adding all the item info/descriptions, before you get in a bit of a groove, and then it only takes a couple of minutes per item (assuming you have all your images ready). You can add as few or as many items at a time as you wish, before going back in and filling out descriptions, weight/dimension, images, etc...Overall, we're loving it!

Used to work, now it doesn't - When we first integrated Shopkeep and BigCommerce it worked great. Then. It. Stopped. And hasn't functioned well at all for months. Deleting items off BigCommerce is impossible, they reappear like bad relatives again. Shopkeep has duplicated the sync folders, there are now three, created because they told us to disconnect and reconnect our link with BigCommerce. NO ONE EVER TRIES TO FIX THE PROBLEMS. I've emailed, I've Called, I've written bad reviews like this one, I've tried to beg, and the front line folks are very helpful, giving the same advice i've received 100 times and promise someone from the mystical Quality Control department will call me, but the phone never rings. Its a great stand alone system, probably the best out there. But once you integrate with BigCommerce, they tell you everything is BigCommerce's fault and to call them. They take no responsibility whatsoever for the integration challenges that exist. So disappointed.

Sad app - It's really unfortunate that the inventory stock count does not sync correctly. Shopkeep has been giving me the runaround on it for at least 6 months. Constantly saying it'll be fixed on the next update or they have dedicated a big team to fixing it and will have it fixed soon. I know things take time to fix, however 6 months of the same issue really is unacceptable. It's even more unacceptable that I signed a contract with Shopkeep who claimed that their inventory sync worked at the time of the contract, but from day one it didn't work. Guess they should have put that in the contract. It seems that the number of people using this is so low they'd rather just milk the customer until the end of the contract and move on. Lame.

The integration doesn't work. - It is a constant battle to have the inventory right on my website.. Uninstalling and reinstalling over and over everyday. No one will take responceability for it. They just keep sending me back and forth. It not big commerce and it's not shopkeep. And I'm the one stuck with a website that doesn't work. And an inaccurate stock count. They all say how I can do this or that to fix it. Meaning bandage that will take hours every day. Terrible. If you use shopkeep find a new way to make a website because what they promise is a lie.

Additional Costs! - The integration with BigCommerce is $30/month. In addition to the monthly $69 fee. Unless you pay upfront for the year which brings the monthly down to $49. UPDATE 1/27/18 Was finally contacted from their marketing department because of my review. After being given the runaround about the integration price, the actual price for Big Commerce Integration is $15 per month. Customer service is not prompt, every time you contact is a different person. The trial was a waste of time because of the sync integration, you can't truly get a feel for what your site will feel like with this POS. I've been using Square for years, and I do have my reservations with Square but it works, no monthly fees, no merchant contracts, and I have yet to have a problem. And Square integrates with Big Commerce for FREE. DO NOT SIGN CONTRACTS WITH THESE POS COMPANIES WITHOUT GETTING THE FINE PRINT!
