What Merchants Think

Merchants have mixed feelings about "Easyship: All-in-One Shipping". While some appreciate its affordability, extensive courier options, and global reach, others find it riddled with technical issues, unresponsive customer support, and limitations in integration, particularly with FedEx.

Key Strengths

  • Wide range of courier options and competitive international shipping rates.
  • Easy integration with various e-commerce platforms like BigCommerce.
  • User-friendly interface with helpful analytics and dashboard for cost management.
  • No hidden fees: pay only for shipping labels.
  • Positive feedback on expanding global shipping capabilities.

Common Concerns

  • Poor integration with FedEx, resulting in complicated setups and use.
  • Inconsistent and slow customer support resolution.
  • Lack of reliable automation and feature limitations (e.g., product dimensions needed, no branded tracking page).
  • Ineffective handling of order synchronization and shipping rules.
  • Recent introduction of high subscription fees, moving away from its free model.

Final Thoughts

Overall, "Easyship: All-in-One Shipping" presents itself as a cost-effective solution for merchants looking to streamline their shipping processes and expand internationally. However, technical setbacks, inefficient customer support, and new subscription fees may deter those who require a more robust and hassle-free shipping solution.

Multitude of issues - I had a terrible experience with Easyship and their paid plan. I attempted to process just three orders, and each came with a different issue.Nonexistent Shipping Option: - For my first order, a customer was able to select a shipping option that didn’t even exist. It took nearly a week to sort this out with support. My customer had to patiently wait. Price Discrepancy:- The second order had a massive price discrepancy between the checkout price and what I was charged. This took two weeks to resolve, and my customer had to endure the wait. Miscommunication within Easyship's support team was a big reason for the delay - which was very frustrating.Unprocessed Shipment & Overcharge:- The third order had an error and couldn’t process the shipment at all, yet my customer was overcharged. Easyship pointed the finger at FedEx, but my other shipping app has no such issues.Between the constant issues, delays, and the hours spent on support, I’ve given up on Easyship. Their concept has potential, but the execution – from the app and support to the price – was incredibly disappointing.

Bait and Switch - Their online pricing shows "rates at checkout" for all plans. Great, until you install the app and find out that it does not exist until you get a mid-tier paid plan! We will not be doing business with an unethical company. What other hidden, not disclosed items will we find out? We are not taking that chance.

Do not use if you use FedEx or if you sell things besides clothes or electronics - I'm about two months into working with EasyShip, and it has been anything but easy. I was forced out of using BigCommerce Shipping, and BC recommended EasyShip as a replacement. Worst advice ever.First, they don't natively support FedEx, so to use your own FedEx account or the one BC negotiated, you have to go through a convoluted sign-up process that requires submitting labels to FedEx for approval. This is a total waste of time because EasyShip doesn't print labels! EasyShip blames FedEx for the integration problem, but regardless who is at fault, it is not something I had to do for any other shipping program I have tried.Second, EasyShip doesn't quote accurate FedEx Ground delivery times. I've repeatedly asked EasyShip service why they quote 4 days for ground shipping regardless where I ship an article. Even if I ship to my home zip code, it quotes 4 days. The only response I received was that EasyShip quotes from their actual experience, not what the carrier quotes. This is absurd. It takes one or 2 days to ship from Philadelphia to New York and most places on the East Coast, but EasyShip always says 4. That's a big disincentive for many of my customers to order from me.Third, EasyShip is supposed to be great for shipping internationally, but it has an extraordinarily limited number of categories for you to choose from when setting up your products. If you sell anything besides clothes, electronics, or cheap jewelry, it is useless for international shipping. When I asked support about how I should categorize the things I sell, all they said is that they do not have a category for what I sell. Finally, support, or lack thereof. Forget about talking to someone. For the most part, all you get are e-mails from "Jake" after waiting a day or so for a reply. I had to enlist help from BigCommerce for a serious support problem - turns out EasyShip improperly imported all of my items with bad dimensions and weights due to a conversion error on their part - but it took weeks for senior people at EasyShip to acknowledge a known problem and have me delete and re-sync all of my items. This kind of problem should have been easy for them to identify since they knew they had a problem, but it took weeks for them to acknowledge it.Since BC abandoned BC Shipping, I'm stuck with this for the moment. Support has stopped replying to questions they seem unwilling or unable to answer. I don't particularly like writing bad reviews, but BC seems to be promoting this app at the moment, and for the life of me I don't understand why.

Complete Garbage - Absolutely no customer service or support. Tax and duties calculator doesn't work. Support pages are missing tons of information and lots of issues through the whole interface. It actually requires you to call and speak with an expert in order to add your courier accounts, then they never answer or call you back. There is no ability to live chat a real person and no phone number to call. Branded tracking pages and emails etc are all worse than other platforms. Very Disappointing.

Good start but needs some additional work - Was using ShippingEasy but decided to give Easyship a try due to monthly fee savings. One nice feature is that if brings up a comparison chart showing shippers and associated cost for the outgoing package. Easy to set up and get running. Courteous and responsive customer support. Problem is the lack of automation when comparing to other services out there. Multiple steps required to generate a label. Instead of generating a label and sending to the printer, a PDF file is generated and you are required to print from the file. In addition it required to enter a category, size and weight for each item in the order. It does start to build a database. It became a major issue if a customer ordered a quantity of 100 of the same item, which required 100 entries. Really! No way just to enter total size and weight of order without going through each individual item. As I said, a good start but the overall automation really needs to be enhanced to make it a viable competitor to other programs out there.
