What Merchants Think

The overall reception of "Signifyd" from merchants is mixed. While many users appreciate its capabilities in fraud detection and prevention, some have expressed frustrations regarding customer support and claim processes. Several merchants highlight the significant role Signifyd plays in giving them peace of mind and saving both time and money by reducing fraud. However, there are recurring issues with customer service response and the reliability of chargeback claims.

Key Strengths

  • Strong fraud detection and prevention, leading to reduced chargebacks and fraudulent transactions.
  • User-friendly interface, making it easy to manage and review orders.
  • Valuable information provided on orders such as IP addresses, email age, and social profiles.
  • Offers a chargeback guarantee, which provides a sense of security for merchants.
  • Ease of integration into existing e-commerce platforms.

Common Concerns

  • Poor customer service and lack of timely support or responses to inquiries.
  • Issues with rejected claims due to technicalities or claim processing delays.
  • Complaints about being overcharged or difficulties in changing plans.
  • Some merchants feel the app does not adequately differentiate between legitimate and fraudulent orders.
  • Concerns about changes in terms of service affecting claim approvals.

Final Thoughts

Signifyd is a valuable tool for many online merchants, particularly those regularly facing threats of fraudulent transactions. Its features and chargeback guarantee are generally well-received, providing business owners with confidence in handling suspicious orders. However, consistent issues with customer service and claim handling highlight areas where improvements could enhance user satisfaction. Overall, it remains a strong contender for e-commerce fraud protection, though prospective users should be aware of potential customer support challenges.

Used to be great - Now poor customer service - Signifyd used to be fantastic, we have been a customer for a few years now however recent changes to their terms of service have made the program difficult to use and virtually pointless, Legitimate fraud claims are getting denied due to now pathetic windows of opportunity time frame wise in which to submit your claim. and also trying to deny claims based around the way Braintree now report chargebacks. as code 1040 no cardholder authorization. general chargeback (which is 10.4 fraud) so if 1040 no cardholder authorization is not 10.4 fraud i dont know what is. I pulled them up on this and successfully appealed the declined decision however beware.. Used to be worth the money to the point i would have been an affiliate and highly recommended the program to now.. BEWARE.. Looks like i am not the only one that has these feelings and I am only writing this 2 star review due to the fact it is not a one off, we are now having many problems and Signifyd seem to be trying to find as many technicalities as they can to get out of paying any legitimate claims... We are now looking into alternative solutions.

Now Just OK - We have been using this service for about 1 year and have had a great experience. We deal with fraudulent purchases everyday and this is a life saver. It saves us money in chargebacks but almost more importantly is the time it saves us in investigating every order. If the order passes we ship it. We rarely get chargebacks now but if we do Signifyd reimburses us right away. UPDATE: In the last 6 months Signifyd has changed. Signifyd now trys to find ways to not pay claims. We now get chargebacks for orders that were "Guaranteed" and Signifyd finds very small reasons to reject a claim. We had 1 chargeback that listed the reason for the chargeback as "General" but then in the description stated it was "Fraud". Signifyd rejected the order because the reason was first marked as "General" and later described as "Fraud". If the reason for the chargeback is listed as anything besides "Fraud" Signifyd will reject the claim. It seems like we are fighting with Signifyd now on every chargeback to get reimbursed. Its like dealing with a car or home owners insurance company.
