## How It Works

Install StickTax and your product catalog syncs automatically. Configure your excise tax rules per state — choose the method, set the rate, define any caps, and select whether the rule applies to singles, boxes, or both. Define profile classes so StickTax knows how many sticks are in each box type. Set your sales tax rates for states where you have nexus.

On every checkout, StickTax resolves the product SKU, determines whether it's a single or box, applies the correct state excise tax method, adds sales tax, and returns the calculated tax to BigCommerce.

Customers see the correct tax line at checkout. You stay compliant.
