In BigCommerce: Great for Homepage, bad for Product Page and Blog - Shogun is easy to use and has all the tools needed to make a great looking page. Support is always helpful. It works great for designing a homepage and Web Pages however, it does not work on BigCommerce's blog or product pages. A blog post designed in Shogun has no tags and the author's email appears instead of the author's name. You can correct both within the blog but then your Shogun formatting goes away. Shogun also doesn't work for Product Pages in BigCommerce for similar reasons. Any edits to the normal product using BigCommerce (like adjusting inventory or price) will destroy the design you made in Shogun. The workaround is simple, just republish it in Shogun after any edits to the product but who wants a workaround? Plus, we only have 2 accounts for Shogun while anyone in the company can make a change to the product pages thus breaking the design. Shogun is so close to being awesome but it clearly was designed to be used for Shopify and then rigged to work in BigCommerce as is the case with most apps. Giving it 3 stars because it works on half the pages I need it to work on.

Good Builder , lacking options in BC - I was attracted to the capabilities of shogun but its unfortunate Shopify has features such as completely custom product pages. In BigCommerce, you can only build within the description section of your product page.

Shogun App - The Shogun app is user friendly but freezes during updating pages so it takes a long time to complete a build or an update. The upside is their support is friendly when I chat to complain about the difficulty updating our pages and how the app freezes and crashes.

Easy to use app for building site pages - Overall, we are quite happy with this app. We are able to build and manage landing pages with ease. But we have had some problems recently where the app has been posting code snippets instead of the page content preview. We have spoken with support about this issue. At first they were responsive, but as the problem persisted, they said that they would speak to their tech department, and someone would be in touch with me with any questions or once the problem was resolved. It has been a few weeks since our last correspondence, and the problem still persists. Overall I am happy with the app, but would appreciate more responsive customer support.

Shogun Page Builder - Compared to competitors, this app is by far the easiest to use and pick up. What I find lacking is mobile responsiveness and small editing to margins and such get complicated and frustrating to use at times.
