What Merchants Think

Merchants generally find "Easy Upsell" to be a highly effective tool for increasing revenue through upsells. The app is praised for its simplicity, ease of use, and significant return on investment, making it a popular choice among e-commerce businesses. Many users have experienced an increase in their Average Order Value (AOV) shortly after implementation. However, issues with customer support have been highlighted as a major concern by several users.

Key Strengths

  • Easy to install and set up
  • Effective in increasing Average Order Value (AOV)
  • High return on investment (ROI)
  • Customizable upsell options
  • Positive feedback on customer support when available, notably with individual team members like Matt

Common Concerns

  • Lack of reliable customer support
  • Issues with certain features such as unintended discounting
  • Difficulties in receiving timely assistance for app glitches
  • Concerns about stability when certain promotions and rules overlap

Final Thoughts

Overall, "Easy Upsell" is well-received by merchants for its functionality and positive impact on sales. Many have reported seeing quick results and substantial financial gains. However, the app's utility is somewhat marred by reported deficiencies in customer support, highlighting an area for potential improvement. Despite these concerns, it remains a recommended tool for businesses seeking a straightforward upsell solution.

Doesn't create upsells just gives unauthorized discounts - Really poor implementation. Customers get discounts on any items added to the upsell trigger, just by adding them to their cart. So what ends up happening is customers are just getting discounts everywhere on purchases they would have made anyway, and they are not adding more to their cart or being upsold. In other words the discounts you intended to offer as an incentive to increase cart AOV just gets awarded all over the store by default and is divorced from any AOV-increasing psychology. This ruins the economics of the store, because this is ecommerce: huge discounts with no increase to AOV just makes everyone else make money except the vendor. BigCommerce, Upsell App, UPS, Fedex, credit card merchant, merchandise suppliers, employees, etc. Nothing left for the vendor, who gets left holding the bag selling their goods at or below cost.Probably a limitation of BigCommerce development because I can't imagine this being an intentional approach. And in agreement with other reviews, support is nonexistent.
