Horrible experience and already looking for an alternative! - Goals – Synch one brick and mortar retail store that uses Revel POS with Bigcommerce cart.The first indicator should have been when the sales rep, Alex Skorohodov, was more than 20 minutes late to his own sales demo and acted like it was no big deal. Not even an apology was offered. The sales demo consisted of nothing more than a review of the YouTube videos that are already publicly available and the answers to my questions were simply, make sure product SKUs are the same in both Revel and Bigcommerce (BC). That is it – nothing more.This actually proved to be nothing more than a case of over-promising and under-delivering…in fact, the whole app can be defined this way.Make sure Revel (or probably any POS system you use) is an EXACT match to your web cart. Product names, categories, SKUs, option matrices… EVERYTHING MUST be an EXACT match.After three weeks of using the app (two-week free trial and one week paid) it does NOT deliver anything more than a one-way inventory synch from Revel to Bigcommerce.If you want to synch orders, be prepared for huge headaches. My experience has led to:1 - Duplicate orders being created – hence erroneously debiting inventory levels and crediting sales each time. The solution from Kosmos is to require the paying customer to manually void all duplicate orders and payments on the POS. Thus, requiring manual labor from a so-called automated solution.2 – If orders have sales tax associated be prepared to invest for more manual labor to properly close these transactions on the POS and ensure that your sales tax reporting is still accurate.3 – Not all orders are sent to the POS and reflected in OPEN status. Yes, the order is reflected in the order history report but does not flood through to the retail side. How can sales staff fulfill an order that only back-end (or offsite) management can see?Countless support tickets have been filed and none resolved. Tech support has three standard responses:1 – Providing links to self-setup instructions. Which are dated instructions as they include screen shots of old versions of Revel…thus creating added confusion and frustration.2 – Contact Revel for further support because the problem is not related to Kosmos e-synch. Revel simply refers you back to Kosmos.3 – You (the paying customer) did something wrong or the Kosmos engineering team is working on that issue (which does not get resolved).All I have received is a one-way inventory synch – hence a one star rating and now I begin searching for an alternative.

Easy Setup - Worked Great! - I need to let you guys know my experiences with other products. I spent a whole week on a competing product and never got anything to work. Who cares about a free trial if it doesn’t work! The support was terrible, I couldn’t get anyone to help and setup my account. So, I decided to try Kosmos. WOW, are you kidding me? The difference was night and day! I was able to sync my Revel systems POS and BigCommerce store in less than 20 minutes after I signed up for a free account. I can’t believe I spent a full week pulling my hair out on a competing product trying with no support, just to save a buck. Kosmos also has great support and they answered all my questions too! I highly recommend you try eSync first before you waste your time anywhere else. Thank you Kosmos for amazing support when needed!
