Didn't Catch Subscribers - Customers went through the process but sticky's system wasn't recognizing it. We had a great onboarding process with them but their solution constantly failed to work for us

Don't stick around this one. - Go with another supplier for subscriptions. They don't have enough experience in our opinion to work subscriptions for small or enterprise level accounts. The sales team lead us to believe they could deliver, but it was bad decsion on our part. Check their history.

1200% Increase - Judging by the other recent reviews, we're not the only company having issues with sticky's recent price increase. I don't understand how you can justify going from charging around $40/month to $500/month. Even when it was only $40 we still had issues with subscriptions not processing properly.

From $20 a month to $500 a MONTH!!! - Absolutely ridiculous! How are small businesses supposed to compete? Our rate went from $20 a month to now $500 a month????? What???? Insane! We struggled with this app in the first place. Lost tons of repeat subscriptions because it won't talk with Stripe and Big Commerce correctly. Customer unfriendly! Don't do it! It's not a great program anyway. We are now having to research for something else!

WARNING: A Disappointing and Costly Experience with Sticky.io - DO YOUR RESEARCH - THERE ARE BETTER AND CHEAPER APPS NOW.I WISH I DID!In July 2023, my company entered a 2-year contract with Sticky.io, enticed by their promising service offerings and a reasonable pricing structure – a fixed fee of $100 USD plus a percentage on every sale. This seemed like a beneficial deal for our subscription service, which required substantial integration effort.However, our journey with Sticky.io has been fraught with challenges from the outset. Over the past year, we have faced numerous issues, ranging from technical glitches to subpar customer service, leading to a frustrating and time-consuming experience.The situation escalated dramatically this Monday. We received an email from Sticky.io announcing an abrupt and staggering 500% price increase, to be effective in just 14 days. The options given were stark and unfair: either accept this exorbitant hike or terminate the service. This sudden change, especially in the middle of a contract, is not only unprofessional but also reflects a blatant disregard for customer relationships and agreements.As a seasoned user of BigCommerce for 15 years, I have never encountered such an unethical practice from any app associated with the platform. The amount of time, resources, and effort we invested in integrating Sticky.io into our operations makes this situation even more distressing.I strongly advise against using Sticky.io. Their recent actions and the consistent problems we've faced indicate a lack of reliability and respect for customers. This is not just a review but a cautionary tale for others considering their service. Stay away and save yourself the time, money, and frustration we've endured.

500% Subscription Cost Increase - We have been using bigcommerce for more than 10 years and of all the apps we have ever worked with Sticky.io is of the top 3 apps we regret working with. After spending time money and effort on boarding sticky.io decides to raise their monthly subscription cost from $100/month to $500/month. We had to sign a contract with them where they said if we cancel we would need to pay the remainder of the contract term. Unfortunately when signing a contract with sticky.io at a certain price for a certain term, that doesnt mean they wont raise the price on you, by a whopping 500%. If they waited only a few months to raise the price by 500% we can only wonder how much they will raise the price after a year. We have worked with other subscription companies which had their flaws, like subscrimia, however no app we have ever worked with has attempted this style of bait and switch. Store owner beware, sticky.io will ait until you are on boarded and invested in them to destroy any margins made possibly with a subscription. I strongly recommend using other subscription apps unless you have money to burn.

Bait and Switch Pricing - The app works just okay with BC. However today we received a notice the fees will increase 500% with only a few days notice. When we reached out to find out our options and see if this is accurate, this is the terse response we received form their "vp of customer success" Thanks for reaching out for clarification. The new price for our services will be $500. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. If they were actually interested in customer success, they would have been more transparent about their plans and timing

Switching to another provider - I am surprised that Sticky.io doesn't have better reviews on BigCommerce. I migrated over from another platform. We did run into needing to upgrade our products to the new version and our theme. It was a bit of a pain but it was needed anyway. What we were really looking for in a new provider was reliability and the ability for us to process the subscriptions that way that we were used to. Offline sales with the subscriptions where haunting us from our previous provider. We had to change our process slightly, which isn't ideal but we will get used to it. I have found it much easier to set up items for subscriptions and the ability to see that we have set them up correctly with Sticky.io versus our other provider. If you are migrating, Big Commerce charges a fee to transfer the credit card tokens over which is pretty big. We just opted to notify our customers to resubscribe. We are going through this process now. So far it is working fine. Support during the transition period and after has been awesome. Honestly, you cannot ask for anything better. We are glad we made the switch. Thank you Sticky,io!Update: Here is an update to my review. This company was awesome. Service worked flawlessly. However, I will add to the others that when I signed up for $100 plus a percentage of sales I thought this was high but It would be worth it. It was. Now they want $500 plus the percentage of sales. 500% increase with the excuse that they have added all of these extra features. I cannot use these extra features because we have it connected to BigCommerce. This means that they are charging me to finance the development for all their other customers. We are saying goodbye and switching to another provider.

A Deceptive Experience with Sticky.io on BigCommerce - My experience with Sticky.io, a subscription application on BigCommerce, was nothing short of disappointing and deceptive.Misleading Sales Information:Our journey with Sticky.io began with a sales representative named Jack Holland, who assured us that the setup process would be straightforward. He made no mention of a complex migration process or the associated charges for migrating data from our previous subscription service. This initial miscommunication set the tone for what would be a frustrating journey with Sticky.io.Hidden $5,000 Fee for Data Migration:To make matters worse, after our site's launch, we were blindsided by the revelation that our data could not be transferred to BigCommerce without paying a staggering $5,000 fee. This fee was never disclosed during our initial discussions with Sticky.io. Shockingly, Sticky.io's Chief Revenue Officer, Ashish, attempted to blame BigCommerce for this unexpected charge, citing it as a fee for migrating payment tokens.Contradictory Information from BigCommerce:To verify these claims, I scheduled a call between Zakk from Sticky.io and Matt from BigCommerce. Matt unequivocally stated that there was NO CHARGE for data migration on BigCommerce's end. This revelation exposed Sticky.io's deceptive tactics and their attempt to unfairly profit from an undisclosed fee. Even after this revelation, Sticky.io initially offered to reduce the surprise fee to $1,500, which we found unacceptable given their misleading practices.Lack of Assistance with Data Migration:Furthermore, Sticky.io's lack of assistance with data migration was a major letdown. Despite paying a $500 onboarding fee, we were left to handle the setup entirely on our own. The promise of a user-friendly setup process turned out to be a far cry from the reality we experienced.Dishonest Business Practices:This entire episode has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. It is evident that Sticky.io's intentions were far from honest. Their attempt to impose a hidden fee, combined with their lack of assistance, speaks volumes about their business ethics. Sticky.io stands out as the most untrustworthy and shady app company I have encountered in my experience with both Shopify and BigCommerce.Unprofessional Conduct:As a final note, it's important to mention that Sticky.io employee Ray Glynn sent an email containing disparaging remarks to both their employees and my third-party associates. Such unprofessional conduct further solidifies my belief that Sticky.io is a company that lacks integrity and professionalism.Conclusion:In light of these revelations, I strongly caution potential customers against using Sticky.io. Their deceptive practices, hidden fees, and lack of support for data migration make them an unreliable choice for any business. Based on my experience, Sticky.io is not to be trusted, and I would strongly recommend exploring alternative options for your subscription application needs on BigCommerce.
