Do you want to run your own agent locally and maintain it? Then don’t use agentforce. But, if like most salesforce customers, you want to outsource the commodity aspects of your technology, agentforce is impressive. These days anyone can create a RAG agent. So can salesforce, that’s the baseline of its capabilities. Agents are accessible as authenticated or non-authenticated users, slack, WhatsApp, and more. Agents can be headless or chat driven. They can query CRM, 3rd party APIs (Via flow) or data cloud, which provides a file level connection to snowflake. That is a planner called Atlas. There is also an agent testing suite and detailed log history available for query. Agentforce uses OpenAI models by default, or Anthropoc, and you can bring your own models.
